did not see any themes for **programmers**
Yan,
It depends what are your requirements.
if you are looking for something that can you use as foundation I can recommend Roots or Underscores (_s) starter themes. Above listed ones are for developer portfolios and themes that can be used as frameworks with very little to no modification at all.
Aigars, it sounds more correctly for me. After reading the title of the topic, I thought that an article is about themes for programmer’s blog. Thanks for your reply.
Wow, can I have my 3 minutes of life back. What a junk article. Not a single theme related to programming!
Jim,
Thank you for your comment. It your opinion what sort of themes should be listed here?
Well although I don’t like his attitude, he has a point. Non of the themes seem to be programmer specific. Take photography for example: what should I do with a template where I need to search all the photos from scratch?
You should list themes for people blogging about code…
Yeah I know right? Here I am looking for a theme for…. like putting your CODE on that doesn’t screw up the formatting…. and all I get is this list for developer PORTFOLIOS… not code blogs.
Come on man. Change the name of the article.
Thank you for your feedback!
I see that you didn’t read the tittle of the post as otherwise you wouldn’t be complaining 🙂
Hi Aigars,
Your website is the best! Help me to find WordPress theme out there!
By the way, I really like this website MindValley.com do you know any WordPress themes look and function more or less the same?
Thank You
Haikal
Haikal,
Any Parallax style WordPress theme will get the job done in a similar manner. You can see best examples here and here.
Many beautiful themes but no one is for programmers.
John,
What exactly you are looking for? These are themes for codes to showcase their resume and/or portfolio.
facing the problem most of them are not responsive
I’m certain that all themes are responsive. Let me know which one did you tested and I will have another look.
I think you’re confusing Graphic Designers with Web-Developers…..
Sofie,
What sort of theme you are looking for? These are mainly themes for developers to showcase their project portfolio. I am developer myself and have used Jevelin theme for my portfolio. I have since retired it as I am now a business owner and development is left behind.
Why Genesis is on Third position as per my Experia nce its the most devolopers friendly wordpress framework.
Not sure if the comments are trolling or not.
These are great themes! I am loving Empathy. They do realize these are just demos and the content varies right? Designer and Development go hand in hand. The portfolio page can host their portfolio with links and such.
Aaron,
Finally someone understand how these things work. Thank you for being awesome! 🙂
Please point me to a theme that allows these features.
1. Full responsive, to include those nut job customers that hold their devices like this [ ] instead of like this [ ]
2. Ability to use visual composer to build the header! I don’t want to pick a damn rubber stamp.
3. Ability to change the order of how the columns appear on mobile. like a Stack list.
4. I want EVERY feature listed here to be able to be used in ANY section I want.
A
So many comments saying that these themes are not for developers/programmers.
What do you want to see? Green code falling down like rain?
All of them are showcase themes, some strictly showcase, some with a portfolio style. Just what a developer needs, to show some work, his portfolio and his resume.
Giovanni,
Your comment made my day! Thank you so much! 🙂
Hey,
Thank you for such amazing themes. I read in comments that many people did not accept that these themes are for programmers. But thank god, few of them understood that these are just demos and you can edit them however you want.
Thanks again for such a wonderful info.
No themes for programmers here.
Nick,
Please describe what a theme for programmers should look like and what exactly it should do.
facing the problem most of them are not responsive
Could you please name any example and will have another look at it?
This blog is great to make different WordPress themes and it helps me to get a creative idea of new development of themes.
Just a heads up, Versus Resume is no longer for sale on ThemeForest.
Thank you for pointing that out! We have already removed it.
Thank you for theme information….
At least one commenter described what “themes for programmers” should look like. Themes where code can easily be embedded without it being corrupted. Somewhere you can share/present samples of your work, not necessarily for a portfolio. A clean style without huge images is something else I’d look for, personally.
These are all PORTFOLIO themes and are not at all distinctive for use by programmers. You could be a baker and use these themes, a marketing person, a lawyer, whatever.
If you mean “programmers” in terms of someone who actually creates a WordPress site at the back end, er, they are not programmers. They are web designers.
If that’s not it, I don’t know why you’ve labelled them as “programmers” themes. Other than the fact every single one of the theme images represents a man, so presumably all programmers are men as well.
