How about a list of good themes for someone who wants to do a food blog and post reviews of restaurants, pics of food, etc? I have a friend who would like to do this and want him to use WordPress.

    1. Thank you for your comment!

Here you can see collection of great themes for food blogs and restaurant review websites. Maybe your friend might consider to look into regular blog themes such as these since there are plenty of great plugins that will help with star ratings and other aspects for reviews. The main thing is to concentrate on overall design and not functionality that’s what plugins are for.

Let me know if you have any other questions about these or any other theme listed on Colorlib.

Do you know of a review template similar to TopTenReviews?

    1. Michael,

Unfortunately, there aren’t any TopTenReviews clones available for WordPress. However, any review theme can be tweaked to work in similar manner but you will have to do your own homework or hire a developer to do it for you.

  5. i am looking for a “Review” based customized theme that is “Free” and i can manage the reviews of companies related to every field. Can i have the best and the most easiest yet free theme ?

    1. Sana,

Unfortunately, all above listed themes are premium themes and none of theme are free. If you are looking for free themes you might want to check this theme collections instead.

  6. After two and a half years of free themes, I finally decided that it was time to purchase a premium theme. That’s when I found the theme NanoMag. It’s absolutely wonderful. It took me some time to figure out how to use all the different features, but it is by far one the the most flexible themes I’ve ever used. Plus with the built in mega menu, review system, related post, and social/share buttons – I was able to uninstall about 5 plugins. I couldn’t be happier with that purchase, so it is nice to see my theme listed on this post.

    1. Beck,

Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad that you found the right theme for you and think that your feedback will help others to decide which theme is the right for them.

  7. Hello.
What about a summary of great styles with regard to somebody who would like to perform a meals weblog as well as publish evaluations associated with dining places, photos associated with meals, and so on? 8. Mountaintop says:

Do you know of any themes that are similar to TopTenReviews? I am looking for one for a client and could use some help.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    1. Mountaintop,

Unfortunately, there aren’t any clone themes to TopTenReviews. Their websites is one of its kind and so far no one has released a similar theme. But it wouldn’t be too difficult to just take a multipurpose themes such as these and use their built-in Visual Page builders to create similar table style layout. That’s the simplest way how you can achieve similar results without spending thousands on custom development.

  9. Thanks for the links. I like the Sprout, this one is what I am looking for.

    Many thanks for your advice.

  11. Hi, I’ll be launching a new review site for software apps. I want a site that offers affiliate links and is schema compliant and front end user submission if possible. I here that is really a deal breaker b/c google indexing needs schema. What do you recommend? Thank you so much.

    1. I can recommend Newsmag, Valenti, GOLIATH, NanoMag themes for your upcoming affiliate review site. These themes features a clean schema markup and are well suited to promote affiliate products.

  12. Hi,

Thank you for the helpful reviews.

Could you please tell me if you can recommend a theme for reviewing crowdfunding and micro-lending sites that has a menu that will allow visitors to input say 5 requirements, for example, whether they are looking to raise money or donate money, the amount of money they wish to raise or invest, their country of origin, expected return – product, interest or equity, etc. I would like to be able to choose a drop-down or button menu.
    Thank you,

    1. Greg,

None of themes does have this by default. However, there is a simple solution for that as you can use combination between Custom Fields and Custom Filters. There are many plugins that can help or you can build your own solution based on WordPress Custom Fields.

  13. Hi, I’m just looking for a theme that users can be reviews. (score+comments). Users should be able to meet with each other. Scores and comments should be listing. Most important, Users can create topics. Your proposal for theme?

    1. Gisele,

based on your description I think you should consider some directory themes such as these.

  14. Chris Wheeler says:

Can you recommend a theme that allows users to create accounts, add events, teams or leagues (baseball) and give them a star rating as well as comments. Users can search base don Program, League or Tournament, etc..

Essentially like a Yelp site for baseball in a specific area

    1. Chris,

For star ratings there are plenty of free plugins that will work with any of these themes or you can choose themes that already have this functionality built in.
WordPress does allow users to register and submit content but you should enable that functionality under “Settings” >> “General” >> “Anyone can register”. This feature works with any theme.

  15. pankaj shrestha says:

i am looking for a wp theme which i would like to use for doctor reviews where people can search based on the medical field, name, city etc. Each doctor would have a profile page. Could you recommend a theme please (I am open to customize specifics after i purchase the theme)

  16. I’m looking to build a travel review site that will be driven by visitor review scores, not by an in-house reviewer. I’d also like visitors to be able to plug in some criteria (location, budget, etc) and have them find relevant reviews.

Can you think of a theme that would work for this?

  17. Hi,
    Thanks for the info,
I know how to setup a wordpress and can learn to work with various plugins easily.
I just don’t know which theme and plugins I should use to create a rating website similar webutation
It would be a great help if you suggest some.

    1. Farhad,

Unfortunately, it is not a WordPress and there are no plugins or themes that can evaluate websites. It is a custom built platform and WordPress won’t be the right platform for this kind of website. However, there are some scripts available online that you might want to consider but most of them costs starting $300 and up.

  18. Nice themes!! Thx so much!

  19. gurwinder singh says:

  20. DevlinCreative says:

Nice themes I’ll probably take a few and customise them for smaller projects. Thanks once again.

  21. Hi Aigars,

I don’t have much experience in web site building but am venturing into the Amazon Affiliate world, I am looking for a theme based on Skin Care products where I can post reviews, tips, and helpful content for those looking for solutions to skincare problems. The theme should have affiliate link management tool, easy page builder components, responsive design, possibly an email capture form.

    1. Dilip,

You can use literally any WordPress theme for that. The thing is that themes are all about design and very little about functionality. For affiliate link management and email capture forum you must use plugins and there are loads of free and paid plugins out there that integrates with MailChimp and other services. Most themes already comes with Visual Composer built in for drag & drop page building but you can also purchase it separately in case theme you like doesn’t have it by default.

Like I said don’t look for a functionality in themes as they are about design and leave heavy lifting to plugins and there are loads of outstanding plugins that you can use for free.

  22. Maze Tech says:

It seems to be good, But, Didn’t fulfill my expectation & eagerly waiting for the updated one.

  23. I think I’ll go for the ‘Magic’ theme as we once used it on our blog ‘Phone Review’ before changing it to Genesis. ‘Magic’ had a few compatibility issue with premium plugins like SUMOME and WP Optimizer.

  24. Quite effective themes very useful for the start in that niche. love it thanks

  25. i need help purchasing a WP theme for rating schools, where visitors can rate their schools from the list of schools in the database
    can you help? thanks

  26. Great reviews – very helpful in helping me find the right theme – thanks

  27. Daniel Newton says:

Thanks for sharing this great list! Jevelin, Gillion and Gridlove are my favorite themes.

  28. Any thoughts on a theme for a technology review website? Looking for something that is very clean design and modern.

    1. I would go with MagPlus since it is the most customizable magazine/review theme out there.

  29. I mostly use DIVI theme as i find it very easy to use and it does not require a lot of time and effort to create a nice looking site and it also does not require coding so for a beginner like me it makes my life a lot easier.

  30. Hi, nice list, but you are still listing themes from industrial themes, like engine and steam. They stop to work on their themes since a long time and do not improve them nor update. You should delete them from your list.

    1. Stefano,
Thanks for the info! Steam was updated less than 6 months ago which is fairly recently.
We remove themes from the list that haven’t been updated for over 1,5 years but both are still maintained and they do still offer support to their items. Meaning these themes are not yet discontinued. We’ll remove them if/when that changes.

  31. Serguei Kireev says:

looks like a good article.. only all themes are not free..

    1. Sergue,

We aren’t claiming anywhere that any of these are free themes. If you are looking for free themes you might want to look here.
