Thank You Aigars!!! Your article is interesting, and reviews are really helpful.

  2. Ashkar Kumar says:

i think this azoom theme will beat them all. i bought most of top seller themes but azoom looks like the best. thanks for list

    1. Ashkar,

      Thank you for your comment!
Azoom is a brand new multi-purpose theme but it is destined to become the next big thing. It is unlikely that it will reach the level of popularity as Avada or X theme but to become 3rd most popular theme wouldn’t hurt at all.

      1. Ashkar, if you were to build a publishing site in WordPress, where the brief is “be different” what theme would you use?

        1. JC,

In that case i would recommend Newspaper theme which you can find here. However, keep in mind that it is just a theme, so everyone will be able to replicate your website by choosing the same settings. Theme has thousands of customizations options but still there is a chance that someone will be able to replicate it.

  3. Thanks for this outstanding theme collection. Do you think that is is a good idea to use multipurpose WordPress theme and how well these themes are for SEO?

    1. Sushant,

      Thank you for your comment!

Multipurpose are great in case you are looking for a single WordPress theme that will help you to build multiple website that are going to be different from one to another. So you get a one powerful tool that will help you to solve several different problems you might have.

However, there are several disadvantages for multipurpose themes:

Complexity – There are going to be loads of options, widgets, page builders modules that you need to understand and learn how to use. It is still better to code your own website from scratch but still adds complexity.
Performance problems – If you are using our recommended hosting providers then it is not going to be a problem. However, not many users have followed our suggestions which means that they are using some cheap shared hosting from Godaddy, Hostgator, iPad, Fatcow or others provider. These hostings are not ready to handle multipurpose themes. You can install and use these themes but your website will become really slow. And as you know website performance is related to SEO. The slower is your website the worse it will rank on Google and the less traffic you will get.

But all in all I highly recommend multipurpose themes but make sure that you choose the right hosting provider who can take care of your website and make it load fast using any theme.

For further read you might check this article about multipurpose themes.

  4. nice to see Divi was in your list. I run a site dedicated to showcasing websites created using the divi theme. you can check out over 450 hand picked Divi examples.

    1. craig,

For advertising options on Colorlib you can read this page.

Divi is an outstanding theme and we have also wrote a detailed review. We highly recommend this theme for everyone looking for a multipurpose theme that can handle everything with ease.

      1. Aigars

Please don’t feel offending . Have you ever checked the content ( everything that goes into db ) while using divi and ever tried to change the theme ??? Setting up a good looking theme might be easy with divi but if you make a decision to change you will almost need a professional to clean up all the shortcodes ……

        1. How you are planning on building a website without writing anything on database? All drag & drop page builders does that. The only solution to keep your database clean would be to code your own template pages. And for developers it’s a good option but for regular users Visual Composer or Divi is going to be a much better and simple solution.

  5. I love this x wordpress theme i have also showcased it to our website , this theme is really different and unique theme for us.

    1. Sumit,

X theme is not completely different from other multipurpose themes. It works the same way as other themes but the main difference is in its marketing. Developers behind this theme have spent a lot of money in paid reviews, banners, newsletters, AdWords, email marketing and other sources. These days everyone have heard of this theme and not because it is by far the best theme but because it is by far the best promoted one. It’s still a great theme but it is not the only multipurpose theme out there.

We do recommend X theme but it can’t be used for everything and its design might not appeal for everyone, so there are other themes that are equally good.

If you have any questions about X theme or other multipurpose themes please let me know and I will be happy to help.

  6. Great heads up on these themes, most useful

I’ve been trying to find out who the Contactually theme is by?

Thanks in advance for your assistance

    1. Rob,

Contactually theme is a custom built one and there is no exact clone for it. However, most of above listed themes are flexible enough to create similar looking website with the same color scheme and other functionality. To create an exact close you will have to hire a developer but you can get really close on your own, just give it a try.

  7. I was expecting to see the likes of Jarida and Sahifa but i wont say i was disappointed cos i haven’t some of these themes. I will just have to select one and try it first then give my own verdict. Thanks for sharing

    1. James,

      Thank you for your feedback!

Above listed are multipurpose WordPress themes that can be used for everything from a single blog all way to complex eCommerce website. Jarida, Sahifa are both great themes and proven to be very successful but aren’t multipurpose themes. You can use them in many different niches but they are still just magazine themes with WooCommerce compatibility. You might argue that there are multiple uses for these themes but you can’t compare it with X theme that can be used literally for everything (bbPress, WooCommerce, BuddyPress, Portfolio, Blog, Magazine, vCard, Business and so on).

Also both of your mentioned themes needs a major redesign to stay competitive. These themes were released 3 years ago and much have changed since but these themes remain the same. To make them competitive today they need to get some inspiration from other magazine themes.

Another thing is that both themes are bought only by users that are mainly interested in get-rich-quick-schemes. These themes were picked up by online marketers that sold websites on Flippa for quick profit back in the days and now everyone trying to make a quick profit uses these themes. Even tho these themes are outdated and are no longer competitive. People who follow get-rich-quick-schemes aren’t the most creative ones which means that these themes are going to be around for many years to come. I hope that this trend will change some day but so far there is no sign of slowing down and you can see that on Flippa.

  8. peter Thomas says:

Great post with a nice collection of WordPress themes you have shared with us. Thanks for compiling such a useful WordPress theme collection. and I am using ‘Charity’ responsive, flexible and Bootstrap powered theme for charitable trusts, no-profit organizations, NGO, small charity firms.

      1. m planning for review and rating website all these themes are compatible with reviews and rating plugin or not

        1. Akshay,

These themes are compatible with most review and rating plugins. If you want to get a theme with its own rating system you can check these examples. But like I said, above listed themes are fine too.

  9. Please suggest me which theme would be ease in use among this Divi or Azoom or Shopkeeper , i have been already using divi theme , its good but which would be preferably good for Woocommerce .. im thinking to got with Azoom or shopkeeper but as i use already divi theme it seems quite easy for me … sp please suggest me asap..
    Thank You in advance

    1. i would recommend Pavan,

Divi theme is WooCommerce compatible and I see why not to continue to use it. Itš a great theme and works well as WooCommerce platform. If you are still thinking about switching then I recommend Shopkeeper as it is much more popular than Azoom. Which means that it is better tested and optimized.

  10. Dear Aigars,

I’m looking for a theme that can support features for a magazine that I want to make it available for online reading as well. So it has to have the ability to publish online content, subscriber options, some purchases options , simple, elegant, fast, responsive and unique design since I should also mention that it’s an esoteric publication.

    Namaste!
    Andrei

    1. Andrei,

You just happen to describe every single theme listed above. 🙂 All these themes comes with a visual drag & drop page builder that helps you to create a completely unique and professional website without writing a single line of code. If you need some more suggestions please mention some more specific functionality or otherwise all themes matches your criteria.

  11. Awesome themes review! I already made a web site with Avada for my client and i can say, Avad simply rocks! So many features and options and customizations that you simply can’t use them all 🙂
But observing your review I can’t decide for the next theme to go for my next client’s project. I made a selection of 2 from 10 and i am choosing between BeTheme and The7 Theme. What is your opinion on these two themes. What is also important is that i have top sliding bar in the page for extra info??

If anyone used BeTheme and The7 Theme, please post a feedback!
    Thx,
    Alex

    1. Alex,

BeTheme and The7 themes are both great and very flexible multipurpose themes. Personally I like BeTheme more because of its design but it’s my subjective opinion and others might prefer The7. Otherwise both themes can be used to create almost any website you can imagine thanks to their visual drag and drop page builders.

  12. pavan kumar says:

    Hi There,

I am looking for a theme which supports accessibility and lots of content including pdf, excel and forms which is about 10,000 files. It should be responsive, cross browser compatible, especially for opera and safari,IE8, chrome and mozilla. Please let me know the best theme.

    Thanks

    1. Pavan,

WordPress doesn’t allow to add inside content any other files other than videos and images. However, you can store them elsewhere and embed them inside post content just like you would with Youtube videos. There are plenty of document sharing services that are completely free to use. There are also plugins that allows to embed different document types.

If you want to just upload and link to this file via post content then you don’t need a plugin for that as you can upload different media type on WordPress. The only drawback of this is going to be that all files will need to be downloaded locally on visitors computer to view them.

But all my mentioned things are compatible with every single WordPress theme listed above and you can choose the one you like the most.

  13. Hi:

Great review on all the ecommerce themes out there =)
I’m thinking of getting the flatsome theme, but I’m just wondering if it’s able to create multi-level product categories?

In your opinion, do you have a suggestion for a good ecommerce site and which is well supported and optimised?

    Thanks

    1. Christy,

Ecommerce themes that are powered by WooCommerce does support multi-level product categories. Therefore you can choose any of WooCommerce themes that you can see listed here.

  14. Rav Roberts says:

    Hi Aigars,

I just read your excellent blog piece on review themes here and I had a question.

Which one would you recommend for a University/College review site?

I am not a wordpress programmer, so ideally one that is very simple to learn and configure if possible, plus visually appealing and a simple design that works across devices.

    Many thanks for your advice.

    Best regards,
    Rav Roberts
P.S. I sent you a LinkedIn invitation too. I hope that you got it?

    1. Rav,

All comes down to your content and how you want your website to look. Any review themes listed on your mentioned theme collection does have a star rating and other things meant for review website. But still you need to have some idea how long are going to be those reviews, will reviews be written by you or your visitors, will there be loads of images or no images at all. Do your site needs an option to users leave their own comment style reviews or not as so on.

Thing about concept of your website and then proceed with theme research or else there won’t be any backbone to your website.

If you are looking to create a simple plain blog style review site just like many other affiliate sites then you might want to consider these themes as well.

  15. Nice selection.

I wonder if it is important to have a responsive theme?

    1. All above listed premium WordPress themes are responsive and mobile friendly therefore you can choose any theme that you like from design perspective.

  16. Rav Roberts says:

Hi Aigars. very many thanks for your answer. The website will be for reviews & ratings written/given by our visitors – a bit like TripAdvisor (so there will be some images and perhaps some videos).
I’ll look more into your recommendations – so far Extranews and Roprofit look good.
    Best regards,
    Rav

  17. Hi Sir,

I’ve Created a new website for blogging , I want to install best theme for it .could you please suggest me some great themes for my website.
Themes must be lite and mobile friendly.

    1. Hello Ayush,

Above listed themes are multipurpose and they can be used to create blog but most likely you will use 1% of what these themes are capable of. Personally I would recommend to check these themes that are specifically designed as blog themes and doesn’t have Visual Page Builders and complex admin dashboard that takes time to master.

  18. Hi, just wondering what’s the best theme if I am going to have quite a bit of video content example of my work that I would have hosted in You tube and Vimeo.
I am new to WP and I am finding it really difficult to read between all the buzz words. I just want a minimalist theme or a theme that I can customized, that is mobile responsive, and allows me to add various types of content (text, photo, VIDEO!)
At the moment I am thinking about Avada (because it seems to be very popular and hopefully lots of support is available) or Divi (as it seems to have very positive reviews) however, I am concern about how easy it is to keep these themes up and how easy it is to break away from them and move to something diffeent if they do not work for me. They don’t seem to have a refund policy or trial period policy so I don’t know how to choose. Your advice would be much appreciated. Elena

    1. Elena,

Both themes are very flexible and does support many content types including your mentioned text, images, videos and more.
Switching away from one theme to another is different in each case. For example if you are going to use their custom page builder to add custom elements you are going to lose all of them when switching from one theme to another. Other content such as pages, posts, images, videos will remain on your website but widgets, icons, some custom sections will be all gone as each theme has a completely different core.

But both themes are very similar to functionality and you can achieve the same things with both themes. If you won’t be able to get your task done with Divi then you won’t be able to do it with Avada either. Themes are different but results are going to be very similar therefore you can choose any theme you like the most.

  19. Bharath Bhushan Naidu says:

The Be theme has many options. What about the loading time of Be theme?

    1. BeTheme will load the same way TagDiv’s theme that you are using on your website. As you might have noticed your website is extremely slow and huge thanks for that goes to Bluehost which is known for their poor performance. If you care about WordPress performance you should get a good WordPress optimized hosting such as one offered by SiteGround. It will make your website fly when using BeTheme or your current theme by TagDiv.

Usually website owners blame WordPress themes for their website performance but in most cases hosting is the one to blame but no one wants to admit that they did a poor choice when selecting hosting.

  20. I am building two new sites. Can you recommend a theme that would be suitable for a non profit? and another one for a art licensing site?

    Thanks!!

    1. Cody,

It all comes down to functionality that you are after. By using multipurpose themes you can create any type of website including website for non profit organisation or art licensing site. All these multipurpose themes has drag & drop visual page builder that will help you to create completely unique website without touching code.

  21. What is your opinion of Oshine for an art licensing site?

    1. Cody,

Oshine is a very flexible WordPress theme and you can use it for many different things including art licensing site.

  22. Since I have sufficient front-end experience, I was wondering what your thoughts were between Divi, Avada and Bridge. I’m looking for a highly customizable Business front type theme, but sometimes for me it is actually simpler to adjust code than to use an editor. Which might you suggest with the thought that I will want at least the ability to adjust code if need be? Do they all have their own override CSS inclusion file pre-built in?

    1. Stan,

Personally I like Divi the most and then comes Avada and Bridge. However, all these themes are amazing and all comes down to your personal preference.

  23. Ivailo Durmonski says:

I really loved X theme when I first saw it, the included extensions; the available demos, they looked great. But when I installed it on my website something was missing. X theme doesn’t have a lot of things that other themes has, so I looked elsewhere.

My personal favorite is Total, this theme is amazing, you should check it out.

    1. X theme is by fart the best marketed WordPress theme out there. Developers behind this theme does and incredible job to market this theme. It is not like it is miles better than other premium multipurpose themes but they have created an impression that it is. It is not an average theme by any means but Total, The Ken, Uncode are equally good themes but aren’t that well marketed.

  24. Stefan Sorin Balasa says:

I was surprised to see that Kallyas theme is missing from this list. I’ve used all of the popular WordPress themes on themeforest and i must say that Kallyas is by far the best one in all aspects.

  25. Hi Aigars,

My name is Christy. I have just ALMOST finished designing my website on Wix and have discovered that this builder is not responsive to all screens. I now need to move my work to one of these themes you have recommended.

    1. What is the best way to do this? Should I copy and paste, just start over?
    2. Which theme do you recommend for a novice website builder who is building a website showcasing photos of our work as a relief organization in the Middle East. I want to mix images with a strong business look.

    Thank you so much!
    Christy

    1. Christy,

Wix is a great choice for very simple websites but you will grow out from it really fast therefore I would recommend to avoid it if you plan to constantly work on your website and add new sections and features. Wix can serve just as small business card style website which is completely static with very limited functionality. The main advantage for using Wix is that you can setup your website in minutes but from there you will get stuck.

I have already selected my favorite themes that you can see above and you won’t go wrong by choosing any of them. If you need even shorter list I can recommend Salient, Divi and Uncode but other themes are awesome too.

  26. i am webmaster and i would like to find a template or a framework to build rapidly a personnalisable website for some clients who are few money? i would like that the code is seo friendly, and to modify the code if i need…
So i hesitate between betheme, divi and themify… and others…
betheme has plenty of model of template and a front end page builder…..divi seems good but there isn”t model of templates and the page builder is only in backend…. wich of them is the most customisable? and seo friiendly? can you tell me which template could i buy?

    1. Nath,

Actually you can build one website using one licence for BeTheme. With Divi theme it is different and you need to get a single license and you can build as many website as you want. Therefore in your case it is your only viable option.

  27. ‘Flatsome’ or ‘Shopkeeper’ for woocommerce … what would be decisive criteria?

    1. Thilo,

All comes down to which theme you like from design perspective. Both comes with drag & drop page builder, WooCommerce support and support for many WooCommerce plugins and add-ons. The main difference you will find in theme design and that’s about your personal preference as some will prefer Shopkeeper while others will prefer Flatsome

  28. Aigars,

Great review.. Can I ask for your help and assistance please.

I know nothing about website building, I am a business owner. I am try to choose a theme for new FINTECH startup. Online loan/debt/finance business. Once I choose I will then have someone make it for me.

You mentioned you like Divi and someone else said that azoom was the new latest and greatest.

Can you give me your top suggestions for a theme that would fit a high end finance site.

Also can you recommend someone to build it for me.

    Many Thanks. Fred

    1. Fred,

Divi is still a great choice as of today. Azoom started very strong but now they are fading because sales for this theme didn’t went as good as they expected. Divi is currently the 2nd most popular theme available for WordPress after only Avada and both of these themes are awesome and will work well for fintech website.
Azoom is still a great theme but Avada and Divi have performed much better over the last year and therefore more resources are dedicated to development for these themes that will result in a better code, features and support.

      1. Aigars… Many thanks..

I want to compliment you on the amount of time, patience, effort and detail you put into all your replies to your readers.

You really go above and beyond when answering peoples queries and questions. You give your time and unbiased opinions very generously. AMAZING!!

Truly professional and a real gentlemen.

I like your site and really value your opinions.

        Well Done.. Thanks Fred

      2. Thanks for the reply to the comment. It’s actually even more helpful than the post itself. 😉

  29. Its really good collection. with the help of we can do kik start with our blog or website. premium theme is very useful to do work. we can easily customize and do our best work and get the best out put from that.

  30. Thank you for the reviews! I’m a newbie and would like to know which one of these themes would be the easiest to work with. Suggestions are appreciated!

    1. Ricardo,

In your case I would go with either Uncode or Divi.

  31. Aigars

Thank you very much for the helpful content! I am new and planning to start with a central portfolio page that will serve as the core of my other websites. It will be a website incorporating vision and central philosophical ideas.

What premium wordpress theme would you suggest for a profile page? Aesthetically attractive yet very simple and easy usable.

    Greetings !

    1. Michiel,

My personal favorites for this purpose are Massive Dynamic, Uncode and Salient.

  32. How do you feel about the Jupiter Theme?

    1. Marcos,

Jupiter theme is around for a very long time. I used to hate it because of its design. But recently it faced a major overhaul and now it looks nothing like it was before. I really like it now and highly recommend to anyone.
The good thing about themes that are around for so long time is that they are well tested and you won’t be doing bug reporting as everything is already cleared up.

  33. Hi Aigars,

Apart from ecommerce themes, I am looking for a woocommerce plugin that can when i update my inventory the system can tell me when my stock for my products are below a certain quantity and ready to re-stock. In addition a plugin that can analyse or give me graphs / data to show sales growth for my suppliers etc..Can you assist me

    1. Kavi,

The best WooCommerce/eCommerce themes can be found here. WooCommerce by default does allow to keep the track of your stock. It has a built in reporting functionality which works with any WordPress theme as is done in the back end. The one thing I am not sure is how you could track supplier performance.

  34. Hi Aigars,

If you want to suggest a theme to someone new on WP but planning on a very complete business website, which theme you would recommend between the following 3:

    1. Divi (I am already using it)
    2. Avada
    3. Uncode

If possible I would like to know the Pros and Cons you find on them.

Thanks for this article, it really helps us.
    Miguel

    1. Miguel,

If you are already using Divi and you like it there is no reason to switch to another theme. They are all very similar themes when it comes to functionality. They have their own page builders that functions the same way but might look different in the backend.

My personal favorite is Uncode because of its design but Divi and Avada are as flexible as Uncode. You will be able to get the same thing done using any of these themes but design is what makes them different.

  35. Robby Junior says:

    Hi Aigars,

I would like to find a templates that look like ikshow.net , looks like those templates made using Bootstrap.
I have seen quite a lot of your post, but still can’t find one.
Please help me if you familiar with that design.

    Thank you.
    Regards.

    1. Robby,

It is a very basic Bootstrap template but with a very specific functionality. There aren’t any WordPress alternatives because of this very specific niche. You can use any of above listed themes as core for this kind of website.

  36. I’m currently using Avada to all of my projects and they do work best! But what I hated about this theme is that they didn’t get enough good results on google page speeds.

The score for mobile is always 75/100. I already did my best to improve it for mobile.

Can somebody suggest me a theme that can beat avada? I want a similar like avada but not the performance results of course!

    Thanks everyone! Please help!

    1. Jed,

First of all, you are using and outdated version of Avada theme. The latest version brings massive performance improvements.
Another thing is that Google Page Speed score has very little to do with your website performance. It measures how well your website is optimized but it doesn’t take into account important factors such as HTTP/2 which makes most of the Google Page Speed’s metrics irrelevant.
To get the most out of your website I strongly recommend using managed WordPress hosting such as one offered by WP Engine, Kinsta or Pagely. That way you will get access to the latest and greatest technologies that there are to optimize WordPress performance. The best part is that these hosting providers will also take care of all performance optimizations for you.

  37. I use DIVI theme for my blog site. This theme makes my site smooth and user friendly. proud to use DIVI theme.

    1. Janet,

For your website you are using Checkout theme which is a fairly simple theme with Easy Digital Downloads integration and it lacks page builder functionality or any other multipurpose theme benefits.

  38. Hi, It’s a huge collection of premium themes. Those themes are really good quality. Personally, I like Gillion theme for a personal blog theme.
However, thanks for sharing this information.

  39. Rakib Hossin says:

Divi is still an incredible decision starting today. A zoom began exceptionally solid however now they are blurring on the grounds that deals with this topic didn’t go on a par with they anticipated. Divi is at present the second most mainstream topic accessible for WordPress after just Avada and both of these subjects are amazing and will function admirably for finch site.
A zoom is still an extraordinary topic yet Avada and Divi have performed much better in the course of the most recent year and in this manner more assets are committed to advancement for these subjects that will bring about a superior code, components, and backing.

  40. Tatiana Bassil says:

Hi there, my name is Tatiana, I am currently building a website for a tech company. I am looking for a theme that can allow two headers (the first one would be for the clients login, demo etc) and the second one for the usual sections like about us, products etc. There will be a lot of content on all pages and on the long term hopefully videos. We do have a front end developer who can help – any suggestions on the best themes to use? I am mostly tempted by Aveda since everyone has been talking about it.

    Thanks for your help!
    Tatiana

  41. Hi,

Which one of these woo-commerce themes is the fastest? I have used salient and avada, but they make the site very slow on my previous godaddy shared hosting.
Now I am using siteground hosting and would be having around 500 products. I zeroed in on quite a few like H-Code, Bronx, Focuson, XStore, etc.
Please suggest a fast loading full width theme. It would be of great help.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Rohit,

Salinet, Avada and all your other mentioned themes are around the same when it comes to performance. The main performance benefit comes from hosting. Siteground will make your website noticeably faster but to get the best possible performance you will have to go with managed WordPress hosting such as one offered by WP Engine, Pagely, Kinsta and others. Which hosting you get what you pay for and if you are paying $3-5 you won’t achieve the same performance which comes from $30-50 or even more expensive hosting packages. Those services are there for a reason.

  42. I would like o say congratulation for your great contribution. I have listed some popular WordPress plugin and that would be helpful for the blogger and new website owner. Thanks a lot for sharing this nice content.

  43. Cari Blayor says:

I used most of the your free themes suggested by your author, all are good except the common factor that they paid, If i go for more features, I just want to say that, at least give us 1 full feature themes for free, so that we can belive more than what we have.

  44. Hi,

Help wanted for theme for site like alibaba.com and for woocommerce online store. Plz send me your best top 2 recommendation to me for this purpose. I want to develop site like these so plz help me in this regard. I want best theme suggestion based on performance and elegance…

Thx and waiting for best recommendation!

    1. Adnan,

There are no Alibaba clones made for WooCommerce as WooCommerce serves a completely different purpose. The only solution here is to hire a developer that could create a custom built platform for you.

  45. David Tierney says:

I am also a fan of Divi. That theme has been the foundation of a dozen websites for me over the past year.

  46. Hi Aigars,

Thanks for this posting, its a great list you have put together.

I’m just a beginner at WP. Learning lots of youtube tutorials. Overwhelmed with tons of information available online and too many options available. I’m making two sites:

    Site 1:
Takeout restaurant website where people can place orders online and then can be delivered at their location. Also site should be able to accept payments online or using paypal or secured method.

    Site 2:
Blogging site, where I can post my own training videos and written posts. I would like people to be able to engage and have discussion. Also submit if they like too as well. This site would be selling products too.

Would you be able to please guide me to select which themes would be appropriate for each site. I’d Really appreciate it.

    Thanks

    1. Hello Abdullah,

For the Site 1 you can go with any WooCommerce enable theme such as these.
While theme demos looks nothing like restaurant website, once you will add your food images it will look completely different. Images make a huge, huge difference.

For the Site 2 any multipurpose theme listed above will get the job done for you. At the beginning you will just use blog functionality and will slowly expand to e-commerce and other features.
Our favorite themes are Jevelin and Uncode. These themes just like others allow users to register and submit their content as it is a default WordPress functionality.

  47. Sarah Clarke says:

My favorite themes on this list are Uncode and Divi. They are widely popular themes with thousands of purchases and I have already used it for several times. Those themes are amazing but I believe that they are already overused by WordPress community and now should be avoided when possible. Otherwise we will end up with thousands of the same looking websites and it is never a good thing if you are building a website for your business.

    1. Sarah,

These themes are flexible enough that you will always be able to create a completely unique website. It is very difficult for an untrained eye to see what theme you use especially when you use your own images and content.

  48. Wow , i choose Focuson , thank you so much . And a question :I am going to buy hosting at HostGator. Should I buy hosting at it not so?

    1. If Hostgator is the best hosting you can afford then why not. However, if you care about website performance and have some extra money to spend I can recommend WP Engine.

  49. Hi Aigars

Totally new when it comes to website!!!I am wondering which theme do you like most for best for business advisory services?Wanted something non-traditional, fresh, modern, fast loading and could be converted into another language easily?

    Thanks!

    1. Em,

All themes can be translated and used into multiple language using a plugin called WPML. You can read more about it here. The best themes for business advisory service you can find on this list. Some particular ones that i want to highlight are Jevelin and Uncode.

  50. Sorry, its me again – I personally like the look of Bridge and Uncode – would these be suitable or are they too “creative” for professional services?

    Thanks

    1. Both are great themes. Personally, I like Uncode more but both will get the job done with ease.

  51. Umar Saeed says:

Amazing list. The Gem is my favorite theme as it has large number of pre-made layouts and I can do anything with it.

  52. Raju Sarkar says:

Hello Aigars, what do you think about Uncode theme ? is it worth the money?

    Thanks in advance

    1. Raja,

Yes, it is worth the money. That’s why we have listed it so high in the list.

  53. You article is truly amazing ! It has helped me greatly.

I am creating a website that will be advertising local businesses in my area. I want people to also make purchases through the site too.

I was wondering what the best theme is for that sort of platform ?

  54. Kapil verma says:

I think in after personally use only Uncode theme are best to among all other themes 🙂

  55. Jason Bakkaloglu says:

I find the WerkStatt theme very user-friendly and out of the ordinary. All the other themes have very similar layouts. WerkStatt demos feel different from each other.

  56. Maria Brasil says:

I use Jevelin and I love it! Work very well!

  57. Jakir Hossain says:

I think Jevelin is the best of these themes. Other looks great as well but the support and design for Jevelin sets it apart.

  58. First of all Aigars what a fantastic post and even more impressive is the time you take to reply to the comments. Super job, you now have a new fan!

I have a question: I am looking at a theme that I can use to set up various client websites with, the key being to do it as quickly and easily as possible. My first choice is Divi but they do not have any premade templates so designing will take longer, but they do offer a developers license which saves money in the long run.

My second choice is The Gem simply because they have some great premade templates and they have also agreed a developers license at a similar price to Divi. My only concern is their demos don’t seem to perform as well when I view them on a mobile, they are a little slow and sluggish. Although once set up they may be just fine.

What’s your suggestion and is there another theme that may prove more suitable? Appreciate your help.

    1. Just looking over your reviews again and BeTheme has some amazing templates which would suit me perfectly. However I don’t know much about this theme and whether I could get the same developer license for it. Let me know how this one compares with the above two with regards to creating client websites easily. Thanks

  59. Hi,

I want to buy a theme to realize a blog where I publish reviews with a lot of images and links to Youtube video. I like a simple style, minimal and a little bit vintage/hipster, without any side columns, a full width home page and also a clean layout for blog posts. I’m searching to great customisation in colors, layout, fonts, images and so on. Also I want that some posts have relevance in the top of homepage for the time that I prefer.
I don’t know why but I’m focusing on two themes: Uncode and Argenta (same cost 59$). What do you think about them? Some advice? Others good themes for my purpose?

    Thank You
    S
    Simon

    1. Simon,

I would recommend Uncode as it is used by far more people therefore it is better tested. From design and functionality perspective both themes are equal but a wider user base for Uncode gives it an advantage.

  60. Ayush Singh says:

    Hii
I am currently using a free WordPress theme(Hiero) but I am not satisfied with it. I am thinking of switching to a premium theme. Please tell which theme is better – Socially Viral or Newspaper theme by theme forest.
    Please help.

    1. Ayush,

Newspaper is a clear winner here. It is by far the most popular magazine theme and it offers so many great customization options.

  61. Alessandro says:

    Hi,
    Congratulation for your website.
I’d like to create a website to show my dental works. But I don’t like the classic clinic-website style.
What’s the best theme for me?
    I’ve no experience with coding.
    Thanks
    Alessandro (Italy)

    1. Hi,

I would recommend Uncode theme. It comes with a very flexible page build. That way you can complete a completely unique website to your liking. No need to depend on demos that are part of the theme as you can always start with a blank page and build something truly unique.

  62. Thank you for the information it is really useful!
I want to create a Web page for a Collection Agency, but I am not sure about which theme to choose, what would you recommend me? Thank you!

    1. Brenda,

I would go with either Uncode or Jevelin. Both are very flexible with good page builders that allows to create any sort of website.

  63. Masud Siddique says:

I want to make two different website for my two business. One is for fashion ( clothing and textile) and another one for furniture and appliance business. Could you pls advice which theme or themes I should follow to make those websites.
    Thanks.

    1. Any of above listed themes will get the job done with ease as they come with powerful page builders. Which means you can create any kind of website just by dragging and dropping new elements on your pages. Very simple and flexible solution. Just keep in mind that all themes these days have licence formed in a way that you need to buy a separate licence for each website. The only exception is Divi where you should buy a yearly subscription instead and can use for as manu websites as you want.

  64. That is a really cool list of themes. All look clean and modern. I made my first blog using Gillion theme. It was super easy to set up. Exactly what I needed as a beginner.

  65. I used to use Jevelin theme, it beautiful, eye catchy. It’s feature such as : One-Click Demo Content Import, Detailed Theme Customization Options, Drag and Drop Visual Page Builder, Animated Slide Shows, Multiple Header and Page Title Layouts, Multiple Page Templates, are the great feature that I need. I would recommend this theme if you prefer a beautiful site design with best feature to faster your work.

  66. Hi Aigars

Awesome list. I want to create a woocommerce website using the number one theme base on your list which is the Shopkeeper.. Can you please guide me on what are the plugins that I need for woocommerce and what they are use for?

    1. Anthony,

You just need WooCommerce to get started. Also, Visual Composer will be installed during the theme setup (included with the theme). From there you can decide on SEO plugin, contact form plugin and so on but all of them are free and completely optional.

  67. Aigars, this is such a valuable list. Even more valuable are your specific recommendations in these comments. It is very generous of you to take the time to answer these questions. I am a novice and about to select a theme for our website — to be created soon. We are intending to publish a portion of our unpublished book, about 60 pages of text, and include about 6 images or so. I’d like to be able to revise the text at times before our book is completed and finally published so I’d like a site that makes that easy to do. I’m impressed with Divi but it seems overly complex to set up for this simple purpose. I notice you like Newspaper for publishing. You also like Avada and Uncode. What would you suggest? MANY thanks in advance! By the way, I am really impressed with Kinsta and will probably use them to host.

    1. Divi is great for everything but Newspaper is the best one when it comes to news/blog and content heavy sites.

  68. jessicaheins says:

Aigars, what do you think about Jevelin theme for small marketing business, what are the best plugins the theme will support.

    1. It is a great theme and I can highly recommend for any website including marketing website.

  69. Maybe this is why the popularity of WordPress is rising. these are so fantastic themes and beside it, I also find themes like these which is really helpful for me, thanks for sharing.

  70. we picked the “Soledad”, cos we were looking for a perfect minimal one and Soledad did it perfectly ! Thanks a lot for your friendly and lovely page.

  71. Thanks for this extensive list. Saw some good candidates for my next website design here. But still … it is so hard to choose 🙂

  72. Amazing feedback! I’d choose Jevelin, but as a newbie, I need tutorials and I didn’t find many online. What are your thoughts?

    1. Jevelin comes with detailed documentation as well as video tutorials that are included with the theme package. Unfortunately, we aren’t sharing it publically.

  73. Betheme is my #1 choice since i tried their new bebuilder tool. Wow, it’s awesome, so light and fast. I have switched from elementor and this was the best decision last years.

  74. Hello Aigars! May I know which is the best theme for Repair Service? Example Phone, Tablet, Laptop, Console Repair service?

    Thank you very much!
