  • Modernisation pass for WordPress 7 / PHP 8.5. Verified against WordPress 7.0.2 on PHP 8.5.6: the theme now boots with zero PHP notices, warnings or deprecations, where the previous release emitted six. Compatibility
  • Fixed "Translation loading for the illdy / illdy-companion domain was triggered too early" on WordPress 6.7+. The theme controller was constructed at file-parse time, before load_theme_textdomain(); it now boots on after_setup_theme and the recommended-actions list resolves on init.
  • Fixed 13 calls to the undefined get_theme_mode(). Every Customizer selective refresh callback for the About, Contact, Jumbotron and footer partials was a fatal error.

  • Guarded $_SERVER[‘HTTP_USER_AGENT’], missing logo attachments, unknown ids in the stored section order, and core Customizer objects that a child theme or plugin may have removed.
