10 Free Job Application Form Templates 2026 (HTML)

A careers page loses good candidates when its form is long, fussy or broken on a phone. These 10 free job application form templates are ones we designed and built at Colorlib in 2026, for different kinds of hiring: a classic application with CV upload, a job page with a sticky apply form, a four-step application, a work history repeater, an internship form, a job-board quick apply, a creative role with portfolio links, a volunteer availability grid, an hourly restaurant job and screening questions with save-draft.

All are plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript with no jQuery, no Bootstrap file and no plugin, and each looks the same on its own or inside a Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 project.

What makes an application form easier to finish

Ask only for what you will read at this stage. A quick apply with a profile link and a CV (Job Application Form V06) is often enough for a first screen.

Let people save and come back: V10 keeps a draft in the browser and restores it on return.

Check files as they are chosen, not after submit, and say exactly what is wrong: type, size or duplicate (V01 and V07).

Connecting a form to your hiring process

The templates are front end only; nothing is sent. Post the form to your applicant tracking system or your own endpoint, store uploads securely, and keep the field names so your team sees consistent data.

Frequently asked questions

Do these application forms need Bootstrap or jQuery? No. They carry their own styles and a few lines of plain JavaScript, and they drop into Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 pages without being restyled.

Can I use them on a company careers page? Yes. They are free under the same licence as our other snippets (CC BY 3.0): use them in personal and commercial projects and keep the credit link.

Do the forms send applications? Not in the demos: they show a confirmation instead of sending. Connect the form to your hiring system or backend before accepting real applications.
