Kiddos is a website template for kindergartens, preschools and children’s education centres, built on Bootstrap 5, with bright colours and a clean design. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready. There are eight pages: home, about, teachers, courses, pricing, blog, a single blog post and contact.

The home page has a full-screen photo slider, four colourful service cards, a “what we offer” section, teachers, courses, an experience counter, parent testimonials, a quote request form, pricing plans, blog posts and a photo gallery with a lightbox. The inner pages add teacher cards with social links, course cards, four pricing plans, a blog with pagination, a blog post with an author box, comments and a comment form, and a contact page with contact details, a working contact form and a map that loads on click. Kiddos gives you a ready-made site to present your school, its teachers and its classes.

What’s new in 3.0

• Bootstrap 5.3.8 and plain JavaScript with no jQuery, as in 2.0, now compiled from Sass together with the theme into one stylesheet, and the unused Bootstrap 4.1 stylesheets are gone. Swiper 14 replaces Swiper 11 on the hero and testimonial sliders, PhotoSwipe 5 replaces GLightbox in the gallery, and a small built-in module replaces AOS for the scroll animations. The Sass source ships again (the 2.x download had none), and npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles the stylesheet and the script.
• Lighter pages: the home page went from 2.3 MB to 1.4 MB, and the contact page from 3.7 MB and 57 requests to 851 KB and 17 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the original JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading, each page preloads its hero photo, and the full-screen preloader and unused images are gone. The download went from 5.6 MB to 4.1 MB, now with the Sass source included.
• No third-party requests: Work Sans is self-hosted, the IcoMoon and Flaticon icon fonts are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a 1 KB social-logo subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the contact map is an OpenStreetMap map (no API key needed) that loads only when a visitor clicks “Show map”, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded its web font from Google Fonts and the Google Analytics script, and the contact page loaded a Google Maps embed from eight Google hosts as soon as it opened.
• Working forms: the quote request, contact, blog comment and newsletter forms send through php/send-email.php, with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message. Before, they posted to “#” and most fields had no names, so nothing could be sent.
• Accessibility: one h1 per page with no skipped heading levels (the home page had two), names on the social, gallery and pagination links, labelled form fields, a visible focus ring, sliders that pause on hover and keyboard focus, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with dark text on the bright blue, orange, green and red fills, darker shades of the brand colours for text on white, and darker overlays where text sits on photos.
• Fixed: the hero and page-title overlays covered their own headings and buttons, so the text looked washed out; the first gallery thumbnail opened a different photo in the lightbox; the testimonial roles did not match the names; and typos such as “Perfect Learned”, “What Parents Says”, “Have a Questions?” and “Deparments” are corrected.
• Demo content: kindergarten copy instead of placeholder text, fictional names, address, phone and email, a different name and bio for each teacher (names repeated on the teacher page), and a gallery photo that showed a branded toy is replaced with an Unsplash photo.
