80+ Fantastic Flat Logo Designs For Your Inspiration

80+ Fantastic Flat Logo Designs For Your Inspiration

Flat design is taking world by storm since Microsoft introduced Windows Phone and Windows 8. At first most designers were against this trend but within a few weeks everyone started to love flat design. There are still some skepticism about this design trends thanks to Apple’s unpolished iOS7, but we can be sure that this trend is here to stay.

Flat design is not revolutionary new and have been here for a while but it became popular only after Windows Phone was introduced back in late 2010. Before that each tech startup and startup of any kind were trying to use glare effects, realistic graphics and other fancy elements borrowed from Apple design books. Now rolles have been shifted and Apple is copying Microsoft. I know that you will argue, like any other Apple fan would, but think for a second from where flat design come from and which company was the last one to apply it to their products?

In flat design the main attention goes to typography, minimalistic elements by leaving out complex gradients, shadows, bevels, feathered effects or 3D appearances. Flat design is all about tiny details for elements, typography and shapes because you can’t hide them behind glare, shadows and other effects.

Since I am learning graphic design I decided to create a list of flat logo design examples for inspiration. Not all of these logos will get nominates as logo of the year but still you will get an idea how flat logos are designed. I othered this list from various sources but majority of them comes from Dribbble, which is by far the most popular resource for graphic designers. Some logos are from Behance which is another great resource for design inspiration.

While many believed that flat design will fade quickly it has remained on top of the game for many years now. That’s why you can find flat design WordPress themes all over the place.

Below are over 80 flat logo design examples I mentioned earlier. Most of them are used for real companies, services, websites, organizations, events, etc, but there are plenty of ones created just for inspiration. Enjoy!

  1. This is actually great. Eagle Sword logo is amazing, so is the Watermelon logo. very creative. I would also add Microsofts new logo to this collection.

    1. Amberd,

      Thank you for your comment!

This collection was created a while ago and it would definitely need some update to include more awesome logos are more and more companies are switching to flat design. Could run some Part 2 series of this collection to include other awesome logos. If you have any other suggestions about what logos you would like to see on this collection, please let me know.

    1. This logo collection gets a lot of traffic from 99designs, oDesk, Freelancer and other similar freelancer resources. Which means that designers are actually referring to this collection when dealing with clients. Not sure what are their exact comments to clients but most likely it says something along those lines you already mentioned 🙂

  2. Thank you for pulling this collection together! I love this style, and I love the variety you assembled. Fantastic; you helped me solve a problem.

  3. wow ! this is great collection.Logo designs are creative and very helpful.I love the all varieties of logo designs. all patterns and colours used in design are beautiful. your collection inspire me to design more creative and innovative logo designs.

  4. Logos should be authentic, but there is nothing wrong with getting inspiration from outside sources. I am a firm believer that a logo should start with pencil and paper and then be transferred into the digital realm. Nice collection shown here. Thank you for sharing this.

    1. I’ve come to realize that pencil & paper help you focus on the creation more instead of creating it on the computer with premade shapes or online influence.

  5. I am 40 plus and have been working as a graphic designer but right very difficult for me to use Android mobile for creating design. My specialty is related to creative design but eye site week day by when i contact my consultant he said to me avoid from these devices. I would like to continue my profession so if you have any other ideas please share with me.

    1. How did you come up with an idea that smartphone is a good way to create something? Smartphones and regular sized tablets are only suited for content consumption and not content creation. If you want to create design on tablet the only viable option these days is iPad Pro in combination with Apple Pencil. That way you can consume content and use them for drawing. Regular sized tablets are too small for doing any serious work and will be better used for casual gaming, reading, web browsing and otherwise.

  6. What a wonderful collection of logos, its funny how trends in design just slide right back into place, flat design was huge in the 40s & 50s, to tell you the truth design is a free for all now. some people follow trends others create trends.

  7. Hi Aigars ! Great collection of flat logo design. I really liked the yoga center and professional golf logo. Can I use them exactly as they are, will that be a problem ? TIA !

    1. Natalia,

Each logo has different licensing and for some logos it might be ok but for some others it might be a huge problem. Make sure to check source websites for more information about licensing.

  8. Good work, for sharing these flat logo designs. The Bitlabs logo is very simple and attractive.
Flat and handwritten designs are more simple as compared to other designs.

  9. The description of my Mail Pals logo is far from accurate. Also. I have received credit for a logo I did not create; Robin (French National Park) was actually designed by Noe Araujo, the very weblink you’ve provided with the design confirms this.

    1. Josh,

Thank you for making great logos!

Instead of complaining that description is not accurate you could have just gave the right descriptions. That would save both of our times. Now you just wasted my and your own time without adding any value to this article whatsoever.

Thank you for pointing out error in the text. It is now fixed.

  10. Fantastic logos, they all look very prestigious. We work with a few financial services companies in London so this is a good resource for inspiration, thanks.
