Flat design is taking world by storm since Microsoft introduced Windows Phone and Windows 8. At first most designers were against this trend but within a few weeks everyone started to love flat design. There are still some skepticism about this design trends thanks to Apple’s unpolished iOS7, but we can be sure that this trend is here to stay.
Last week I visited my friend in South Korea and I couldn’t help but notice PyeongChang 2018 symbols all over the place. This made me look into history of Olympic logos and the oldest I could find was dated back to 1924. Well, I didn’t spend too much time Googling older ones, so if you find any other logo, please let me know and will add it to the list.
You might remember our collection of all Olympic logos from 1924 to 2020, this time we looked into history between 1896 and 2014 and collected all Olympic posters. This collection includes 87 Olympic posters. Since many Olympics had several posters, I tried to find and select the best ones. I hope that this collection will give you an idea of how poster design have changed over the time.
Flat design took the world by the storm thanks to success by Windows Phone and iOS7. Most design related startups are now using flat design for all their services, products and apps an it this trend is there to stay at least for few more years.
