Pexcon is a sophisticated, minimal Bootstrap website template for construction and building companies. There is no need to start from scratch: build on Pexcon and get your company online sooner.
Pexcon includes a sticky menu, hover effects, a testimonials slider, a filterable portfolio, a map and a working contact form. The page layouts also include a blog for content marketing.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 4.3 is replaced by Bootstrap 5.3.8, and jQuery is removed: the template script is plain JavaScript, with Swiper for the testimonials and PhotoSwipe for the gallery.
Lighter pages: the nine pages together went from 27.5 MB to 5.8 MB. The hero photo drops from 1.3 MB to 59 KB as AVIF, with the original as the fallback.
Roboto is self-hosted and the Themify icon font is cut to the 18 icons in use (530 KB to 2.5 KB). No page makes a third-party request until the visitor clicks Show map.
The map works: the Google Maps sample key showed an error. It is now a keyless embed that loads only on click.
A working contact form through php/send-email.php. The old contact_process.php sent every message to a third party’s address.
Accessibility: a skip link, names on icon-only links and form fields, visible focus rings, WCAG AA text contrast, and in-page links that stop below the fixed header.
Fixed: icons that were blank because their font never loaded now show, the page no longer jumps when the header becomes fixed, and the elements page no longer scrolls sideways on tablets.
