Braxit is a manufacturing company website template. Its modern design works well out of the box and suits many tastes. The organized, straightforward code makes it easy to adjust Braxit to your liking.
Braxit has a fluid, flexible layout that works across devices and platforms. Home and inner page layouts, a map, a sticky menu, a working contact form and a top bar are some of the features in the Braxit kit.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 4.1 is replaced by Bootstrap 5.3.8, and jQuery is removed along with Modernizr and 23 plugin files. The scripts are plain JavaScript, and the Sass in assets/scss/ builds with a documented npm run build.
Lighter images: the 2 MB PNG heroes now load as 8-90 KB AVIF files, with the original as the fallback.
The Muli font is self-hosted, and Font Awesome 7.3.1 and Themify Icons are subset to the icons in use (under 5 KB together). No Google Fonts request.
The map works: the Google Maps sample key showed “Oops! Something went wrong”. It is now a click-to-load OpenStreetMap map with no API key.
Working forms: contact, “Drop your message”, newsletter and comments send through php/send-email.php without a page reload. The old handler mailed a stranger’s address.
Accessibility: a skip link, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus, a search overlay that works as a dialog, and WCAG AA text contrast.
Fixed: the service details page no longer scrolls sideways on phones and tablets, and the blog search icon now opens a search box.
