Homebuilder is a home renovation website template that best fits construction and architectural firms. Its modern and professional design presents your content clearly, and the layout adapts to all modern devices and browsers. You can use it out of the box or brand it to match your company. With Homebuilder, you save time and energy when building your business website.
Homebuilder has seven pages: home, about, team, projects, blog, blog post and contact. It comes with a hero slider, service cards, animated stats, a project gallery with a lightbox, a video, testimonials, social media icons and content that reveals as you scroll. You also get working request-a-quote, contact and newsletter forms and a click-to-load map. You can even use the blog to implement a content marketing strategy.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the 2020 release used 4.2.1), compiled from Sass with only the parts the pages use, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on the hero and testimonial sliders, PhotoSwipe 5 replaces Magnific Popup on the project photos, Jarallax 3 runs the parallax page headers, and small built-in modules replace Waypoints, the counter plugin and animate.css. npm run build compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: the home page went from 5.5 MB and 51 requests to 1.8 MB and 31 requests, and the contact page from 2.8 MB and 43 requests to 657 KB and 13 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, with real sizes and lazy loading below the fold, the full-screen preloader is gone, and the download went from 7.7 MB to 6.5 MB.
No third-party requests: Poppins is self-hosted, Font Awesome 4.7 (loaded from a CDN), Ionicons, icomoon and Flaticon are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a 1 KB social-logo subset, and the video loads only after a click. The Google Maps script, which loaded on every page, is replaced by a contact map (OpenStreetMap, no API key) that loads only when the visitor clicks Show map.
Working forms: the request-a-quote, contact and newsletter forms send through includes/send-email.php and includes/subscribe.php, with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message, and the comment form validates and thanks the visitor. Before, the forms had no handler, and the contact page always showed “Your message was sent” before anything was sent.
Accessibility: a skip link, one h1 per page, labelled form fields and search, names on icon and image links, a visible focus ring and WCAG AA text contrast, with a darker yellow for text on white and dark text on yellow buttons.
Fixed: the maps script threw an error on six pages and showed an error panel instead of the contact map, the team photos did not load when the site lived in a folder, the project cards linked to a page that did not exist, and the service and feature icons did not match their headings. Typos such as “Arhictecture” and “Subcribe” are corrected.
Ten photos that showed brand logos on machinery, tools and signs are replaced, the video is now a construction time-lapse, and the testimonials (ten identical cards before) and the team members have their own fictional names.
