The search for a one-page church website template ends with Christian. It is a responsive, contemporary design that helps you establish a strong online presence for your local church. On a single page you can present information, sermons, events, causes and pastors. Visitors don’t need to jump from page to page: everything is a scroll away.
Christian features a full-screen hero, call-to-action buttons, animated statistics, on-scroll content loading, a map and a working contact form. It also has a section for raising awareness and collecting funds.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 compiled from Sass, with the leftover Bootstrap 4 classes converted, and no jQuery. The theme SCSS ships in scss/ with a documented npm run build.
Lighter photos: 5.6 MB before, 1.9 MB as AVIF, with the JPEG as the fallback. The blog post page went from 1.1 MB to 0.7 MB.
Open Sans, Lora and Great Vibes are self-hosted, the icons are inline SVG, no library loads from a CDN, and the OpenStreetMap map loads only when the visitor clicks Show map.
Fixed hero: the photo overlay covered the heading, text and buttons, so they looked washed out.
Working contact and comment forms through php/send-email.php. Before, they posted to # and their fields had no names.
The sermon Watch links play the video in a dialog instead of leaving the site for vimeo.com.
Accessibility: a skip link, names on icon-only links, labelled fields and progress bars, a visible keyboard focus ring and contrast fixes.
