What’s new in 3.0

• Plain JavaScript with no jQuery and no framework, one function per feature, shipped as one minified stylesheet and one script (npm run build).
• A lighter home page: 2.4 MB before, 0.93 MB now. Images are AVIF with the JPG as the fallback, and 480 KB of icon font files became 1.3 KB.
• Nothing loads from other sites: Font Awesome 7.3.1 is a self-hosted subset, and the style guide’s video loads only after a click.
• No full-screen preloader: the page paints at once.
• Accessibility: a skip link, one h1 per page, a keyboard-operable menu that closes with Esc, labelled testimonial dots, a visible focus ring and WCAG AA contrast.
• A better lightbox: the caption sits below the photo, and photos open at their real size, so zoom works.
• Fixed: content was invisible without JavaScript, phones showed three testimonial dots for six slides, and the newsletter form posted to the original author’s Mailchimp list.
