Comodo is a website template for game studios, esports teams and gaming communities, built on Bootstrap 5. It has a dark purple design with a cyan-to-green gradient, a home page with a hero and video button, an about section, upcoming games, tabs, a screens gallery with a lightbox, a testimonials slider, three pricing plans, an FAQ, latest posts and a newsletter box. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready. There are eight pages: home, about, games, gallery, pricing, blog, a single blog post and contact, plus a page of interface elements (buttons, forms, tables, typography).
The blog has a sidebar with search, an author box, popular posts, categories, a newsletter form and tags, and a post page with comments and a comment form. The contact page has working contact fields and a map that loads on click. Comodo gives you a ready-made site for a game portal, a tournament organiser or a community server.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.1 and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the design’s original proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel, PhotoSwipe and a video dialog replace Magnific Popup, and unused plugins such as Isotope, CounterUp, Waypoints and Stellar are gone. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: the home page went from 6.1 MB and 53 requests to 1.1 MB and 40 requests, and the contact page from 1.6 MB and 65 requests to 0.5 MB and 17 requests. Photos have AVIF versions with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the first screen.
No third-party requests: Rajdhani and Roboto are self-hosted, the Linearicons, Flaticon and Font Awesome 4 icon fonts are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset, and the contact page map is an OpenStreetMap map (no API key needed) that loads only when a visitor clicks.
Working forms: the contact, comment and newsletter forms post to small PHP handlers (php/send-email.php, php/subscribe.php) with validation, status messages and a spam trap; set your address in the file.
Accessibility: skip link, main landmark, one h1 per page, keyboard-operable menus and tabs, visible labels and focus rings, and white labels on deeper brand colours for AA contrast.
Fixed 1.0 defects: missing page and image references, broken menu markup, duplicate headings and a mailer that pointed at a fixed address.
New game-community demo content with fictional names and plans, Unsplash photos and original SVG graphics for the logo, favicon and avatars.
