What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 compiled from Sass, and no jQuery: the menu and footer year are plain JavaScript, and unused plugins such as Owl Carousel, Magnific Popup and AOS are gone. Build with npm run build.
A lighter home page: 3.7 MB and 53 requests before, 1.1 MB and 23 requests now. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback.
No third-party requests: Poppins, Lora and Abril Fatface are self-hosted, four icon fonts are replaced by inline SVG icons, and the contact page map (OpenStreetMap, no API key) loads only when the visitor clicks Show map.
Working forms: contact and comment forms send through php/send-email.php and the newsletter forms through php/subscribe.php, with validation, a spam trap and a message in the page.
Accessibility: a skip link, one h1 per page, a real menu button that closes with Esc, labelled form fields, a visible focus ring and WCAG AA text contrast.
No full-screen preloader: each page shows at once.
Fixed: the sidebar newsletter had no submit button, post titles and Read More links led nowhere, and on phones the post text touched the screen edge.
