Reshape is a website template for architecture studios, builders and construction firms, built on Bootstrap 5, with a clean, light design and dark contrast bands. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with seven pages: home, about, services, how we work, portfolio, contact and an elements page.

The home page has a split hero with a full-height photo, project counters, an about block, service cards, a portfolio block with linked photo and text sliders, testimonials and blog post cards. The inner pages add a team section, a masonry portfolio grid with a lightbox, the steps of a project, a contact page with a working contact form, and an elements page with an accordion, gallery, video, lists, form fields, social icons and a slider. The main menu has a multi-level drop-down.

What’s new in 3.0

• Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.5.2 and jQuery), compiled from Sass together with the theme and the original Bootstrap 4 proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel, PhotoSwipe replaces the lightbox plugin on the portfolio and gallery, a small masonry layout replaces Isotope, a keyboard-operable dialog replaces the off-canvas mobile menu, and built-in modules replace AOS and the counter plugins. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
• Lighter pages: all eight pages together went from 20.6 MB and 245 requests to 9.9 MB and 138 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the fold, and the team portraits are sharp on high-density screens.
• No third-party requests: Mulish is self-hosted, the IcoMoon and Flaticon icon fonts are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the portfolio grid uses local photos instead of random placeholder images loaded from another site, the demo video is a stock clip that loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID.
• Working contact forms: the forms on the contact and elements pages send through php/send-email.php, with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message. Before, they had no action and no field names, so nothing could be sent.
• Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, a mobile menu that keeps keyboard focus inside and closes with Esc, submenus that open from the keyboard, labelled slider arrows and icon-only links, descriptive alt text, visible focus rings, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with a slightly darker brand blue behind white button labels and darker menu, date, footer and accordion text.
• Fixed: the home page scrolled sideways at every screen width, the testimonials on the elements page were invisible on their dark band, a full-page preloader hid every page until the scripts had loaded, and placeholder menu and footer links went nowhere.
• Demo content: new architecture photos for the hero, projects and portfolio, fictional names for each testimonial and team member, placeholder contact details, and menu and footer links that point at the template’s own pages.
