Podcast is a website template for a podcast or audio show, built on Bootstrap 5. It has a clean white layout with a teal accent and red buttons, an episode list with players that work in the page, and the layout is responsive and mobile-ready. There are five pages: home, an episode page, about, contact and login/register.
The home page has a hero with a studio photo, five episodes with artwork, details and an audio player each, a list of popular podcasters, a featured guests carousel and a subscribe band. The episode page adds a full-width player, a transcript, related episodes and guests; you will also find an about page with the hosts, a contact page with a working form, and login and register forms.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.1.3), compiled from Sass together with the theme, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 runs the guest carousel, Jarallax the parallax bands and small built-in modules the mobile menu and scroll reveals; npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and script.
A new episode player on the browser’s own audio element: play and pause, seeking, time, mute and volume, all usable from the keyboard, and only one episode plays at a time. The demo episodes are short local audio clips, so nothing streams from another site.
Lighter pages: all six pages together went from 8.2 MB and 153 requests to 3.1 MB and 110 requests, and the home page from 2.0 MB to 1.0 MB. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback.
No third-party requests: Poppins is self-hosted, the icon font is replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset.
The contact and newsletter forms work: they validate the fields, send email through an included PHP handler with a spam trap, and show the result on the page. The login and register forms validate and explain that they need to be connected to your own sign-in service.
Accessibility: a skip link, landmarks, one main heading per page, labelled links and form fields, a menu that opens from the keyboard, and text and button colours that meet WCAG AA contrast.
New podcast studio photos and guest portraits, podcast episode titles and guest bios instead of placeholder text, menu and footer links to real pages, and titles, descriptions, social sharing tags and structured data on every page.
