Dogger is a one-page website template for a dog care centre, built on Bootstrap 5. It opens with a large hero and a French bulldog photo, followed by three welcome blocks, an about section with a video, the trainers, a pricing table, an FAQ, a testimonial slider, a photo gallery with a lightbox, the latest blog posts, six services and a contact section. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready. There are two pages: the one-page home page and a single blog post with comments and a sidebar.

The header sticks to the top as you scroll and highlights the section in view; on phones the menu opens in a side panel. The contact form, the newsletter sign-up and the blog comment form send email through the included PHP handler, and the sidebar search and category links filter the blog posts on the home page.

What’s new in 3.0

• Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.3.1 and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the original grid and colours, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel, PhotoSwipe replaces the old lightbox, and Lucide SVG icons replace two icon fonts.
• Lighter pages: all pages together went from 6.3 MB and 79 requests to 1.6 MB and 43 requests, and the home page from 4.6 MB and 48 requests to 1.1 MB and 27 requests. Images have AVIF versions with JPEG and PNG fallbacks, real sizes and lazy loading, and the CSS and JavaScript are minified into one file each.
• No third-party requests when a page loads: the Open Sans and Vollkorn fonts are self-hosted, and the about video loads only after a click.
• Working contact, newsletter and comment forms with a PHP mail handler, field labels, validation and status messages and a spam trap, plus a working blog search.
• Accessibility: a skip link, one main heading per page, a keyboard-friendly menu panel and submenus, alt text, visible focus styles and AA colour contrast with a deeper teal for buttons and links and darker greys.
• Tidier demo content: distinct blog posts and commenters, fictional contact details, new service icons and every menu and button link pointing somewhere real.
