Travelix is a website template for travel agencies, tour operators and hotel booking sites, built on Bootstrap 5, with an orange-to-purple design. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with seven pages: home, about, offers, hotel listing, blog, elements and contact.
The home page has a full-screen hero slider with a tabbed booking search for hotels, car rentals, flights, trips, cruises and activities, tour package cards, an offer banner slider, hotel offers, a testimonial slider, trending hotels and a contact form. The offers page sorts by price, name, stars, distance and rating and filters by stars, and the hotel page adds a photo gallery with a lightbox, rooms, guest reviews and a map. Travelix gives you a ready-made site to present your tours, hotel deals and travel news.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used a Bootstrap 4 beta and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the original Bootstrap 4 proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on all four sliders, PhotoSwipe replaces Colorbox in the galleries, Jarallax handles the parallax page headers, and small built-in modules replace Isotope, GSAP, ScrollMagic and the progress-bar plugins. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet per page and one script.
Lighter pages: all seven pages together went from 13.6 MB and 369 requests to 5.6 MB and 182 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG or PNG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the fold, and each page preloads its header photo.
No third-party requests: Open Sans and the script face are self-hosted, Font Awesome 4 and the image icons are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the maps load OpenStreetMap only after a click and need no API key, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID.
Accessibility: a skip link, one main heading per page, real buttons for the menu, search, slider and sorting controls, keyboard-operable tabs and accordions, labelled form fields, visible focus rings, reduced-motion support, and text colours that meet WCAG contrast.
Working forms: the contact forms send through an included PHP mailer with validation, a spam trap and in-page messages; the booking searches and site search are named GET forms ready to connect to your booking engine.
Fixes: the distance and reviews sorting menus now sort, the blog gallery opens local photos, every navigation and footer link leads to a real page, and the page titles, descriptions, Open Graph tags and structured data are new.
