Snipp is a website template for web design studios, digital agencies and freelance designers, built on Bootstrap 5. The pages open with a full-screen gradient hero with a moving particle field, and the layout is responsive and mobile-ready. There are eight pages: home, about, services, portfolio, a single project, case studies, a single article and contact.
The home page has a collage of featured projects, four service cards, a newsletter sign-up, three project highlights, a client testimonials slider, counters and the latest case studies. You will also find an about page with the team, a services page, a portfolio of six projects, project and article pages with an author box, comments, a comment form and a sidebar, and a contact page with a working contact form and a map that loads on click. Snipp gives a small studio a ready-made site to show its work and win new clients.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.1.0 and jQuery), compiled from Sass together with the theme and the Bootstrap 4 proportions the design was drawn with, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on the testimonials, small built-in modules replace Waypoints, AOS, Scrollax and animateNumber, the hero particle field is a short canvas script instead of a plugin, and unused plugins such as Stellar, Magnific Popup and the date and time pickers are gone. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: the eight pages went from 15.1 MB and 330 requests to 5.2 MB and 133 requests, the home page from 2.4 MB to 1.1 MB and the contact page from 1.7 MB to 0.4 MB. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading, and the full-page preloader is gone.
No third-party requests: Work Sans is self-hosted, Lucide SVG icons and a 1 KB social-logo subset replace four icon fonts, the contact page map is an OpenStreetMap map (no API key needed) that loads only when a visitor clicks “Show map”, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded Google Fonts and the Google Maps script.
Working forms: the contact form, the comment forms and the newsletter sign-up send through php/send-email.php, with labels, validation, a spam trap and an in-page message, and the sidebar search goes to the case-studies page. Before, the forms had no action and no field names.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, headings in order, names on image, icon and social links, visible focus rings, 44 px slider controls, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with deeper shades of the pink and peach gradient behind white text, darker pink and peach for coloured text and darker greys.
Fixed and refreshed: the missing article photo on the single pages, a missing script that failed on every page, project rows that overflowed the screen on phones, and footer, sidebar and card links that went nowhere. Web design studio copy replaces the placeholder text and the restaurant categories, each testimonial has its own client and photo, and the contact details are fictional.
