Racks is a website template for a software company, SaaS platform or app. It is built on Bootstrap 5, and the layout is responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktops. A blue-to-pink gradient hero with a typing headline opens the home page, followed by a carousel of dashboard screenshots, services, a call-to-action band, recent work, customer testimonials, counters and the latest blog posts.

Racks has eight pages: home, about, solutions, portfolio, portfolio single, blog, blog post and contact. You also get a drop-down menu, a sticky header, a video button that plays a clip in a dialog, working contact, comment and newsletter forms and a map that loads on click. Use Racks to present a software product, an app or a tech startup.

What’s new in 3.0

• Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.1.0 and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the design’s original proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on the dashboard and testimonial carousels, a built-in video dialog replaces Magnific Popup, and small modules replace the Waypoints scroll animations and the animateNumber counters. Lucide SVG icons replace the icon fonts, and the social logos come from a small Font Awesome Brands subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo). npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
• Lighter pages: the home page went from 3.06 MB and 46 requests to 0.95 MB and 26 requests, and the contact page from 2.54 MB and 43 requests to 0.43 MB and 10 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the original as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the first screen, the full-page preloader is gone, and the download went from 7.04 MB to 2.56 MB.
• No third-party requests: Work Sans is self-hosted, the video loads only after a click, the map on the contact page is OpenStreetMap (no API key needed) and loads only when a visitor clicks Show map, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded web fonts and a map script from outside hosts.
• Working forms: the contact form, the blog comment form and the newsletter box on every page send through PHP handlers with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message. Before, they had no action and their fields had no names.
• Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, names on icon-only links, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus, 44 px carousel dots, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with white text on deeper shades of the brand blue and pink and darker greys for meta text.
• Fixed: the article image on the blog post and portfolio pages was missing, the menu button disappeared on the white sticky header on phones, footer links, post links, tags and categories went nowhere, the Portfolio menu linked to a missing page, and the testimonials repeated one name and photo. The demo details are fictional, and the blog categories and tags fit a software company.
