Capitalshop is a fashion store website template for men’s, women’s or general online shops, and it works for an apparel brand’s website too. Its structure is user-friendly, so beginners and experienced developers alike can get the most out of it quickly.
Capitalshop has plenty of features for an eCommerce website: a slider, call-to-action buttons, a top bar, social icons, testimonials, carousels and a back-to-top button. It also includes inner pages, a blog, a map and a working contact form.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 compiled from Sass (the old build mixed Bootstrap 5.0.0 CSS with the 5.0.0-beta1 JavaScript), and no jQuery: jQuery, Modernizr and fourteen plugins are gone.
Lighter pages: the 11 pages together went from 15.3 MB and 565 requests to 5.6 MB and 244 requests, and 3.4 MB of icon font files became 5 KB.
Jost and Clicker Script are self-hosted, and a click-to-load OpenStreetMap map replaces the Google Maps API, whose sample key showed “Oops! Something went wrong”.
A working contact form through includes/send-email.php, without a page reload. The old contact_process.php mailed a stranger’s address.
Accessibility: a skip link, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus and WCAG AA text contrast (the red is now #E20000).
Fixed: broken images in the cart and checkout, a “-” quantity button whose top half pressed “+”, and blog links to a page that did not exist.
Sass sources in assets/scss/ and a documented npm run build.
