Book Keeping is a website template for an accounting, bookkeeping or financial consulting firm, built on Bootstrap 5 with a clean white layout and a blue accent. It has seven pages: home, about, services, blog, blog post, contact and a client account request page. The home page opens with a full-screen photo slider, followed by an about block with key figures, six service cards, a call to action, a testimonials slider, news and a newsletter sign-up. Inner pages add a leadership team, comments with a reply form and a blog sidebar. The layout is responsive and works in all popular web browsers.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4 and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the original proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 runs the hero and testimonial sliders, and small built-in modules handle the mobile menu, sticky header, scroll reveals and the forms. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles the minified stylesheets and script.
Lighter pages: the eight pages together went from 11.5 MB and 259 requests to 5.7 MB and 207 requests. Photos have AVIF versions with JPEG fallbacks, real dimensions and lazy loading, and the hero, news and team photos are now sharp on large and high-density screens.
No third-party requests: the Muli font is self-hosted, Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset replace two icon fonts (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID.
Working forms: newsletter, contact, client account and comment forms send through php/send-email.php, with visible labels, validation, a spam trap and an in-page message. The blog search filters the posts.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark, one h1 per page, a menu button that opens a keyboard-friendly panel, a dropdown that opens from the keyboard, named icon links, and a deeper blue for text and buttons plus darker photo overlays so the pages meet WCAG AA contrast.
Fixes: a rebuilt client sign-up page, missing images restored, distinct names for the team and testimonials, unique page titles and descriptions, structured data and a favicon.
