Build a form for your own website with Colorlib’s free HTML form generator. Start with a contact, quote, event registration or appointment request form. Edit it visually, test the experience, then export HTML, React / Next.js, Vue or a WordPress plugin. No signup, watermark or export quota.
One form. Four simple steps.
Build it once. Keep making it yours.
From the first field to your next revision, your editable project stays with you.
Build
Start with a contact, quote, registration or appointment request. Drag fields in, edit labels and arrange columns.
Click a label → type your wording

Simulated states · nothing is sent
Export
Pick your website’s format. Download a complete ZIP with styles, validation, a guide and project backup.
Your files · no export quota
Reopen
Bring the original ZIP or project JSON back here. Revise the form or duplicate it for another website.
Reopen ZIP / JSON → keep editing
Fits your website
Which export should you choose?
Use the format your site already runs on. Open a card to see what’s inside.
HTMLFor a regular website or a standalone page
React / Next.jsFor an existing React application
VueFor a Vue 3.5+ application
WordPressFor a site that allows plugin installation
Every ZIP includes an editable project backup. Download the whole package: copying component code alone does not copy its supporting files. Newly generated code is MIT licensed, with no mandatory credit link. Dependencies and existing Colorlib templates keep their own licenses.
When you’re ready for real responses
Connect the form to your inbox or server
Design now, connect later. Leave delivery set to Connect later to export a draft. Form Workbench builds the interface; it does not host an inbox or send email.
Once connected, test a fictional submission on your installed website, including its confirmation and email delivery. Your endpoint handles server-side validation and spam protection.
Your next project starts here
Keep a form. Reuse your style.
Open My projects to pick up where you left off. Duplicate a form for the next website and apply your remembered style.
- Form definitions save in this browser when storage is available.
- Download a ZIP or JSON before changing devices or clearing storage.
- Test answers stay out of projects and backups.
Local saving does not sync between devices. The builder processes your form in the browser; installed forms submit to your chosen endpoint.
Form Workbench questions
Is Form Workbench completely free?
Yes. Editing, testing, every export format and reopening are free. No signup, watermark, export quota or compulsory backlink. Each form supports 50 fields, each choice field 40 options, and the local library up to 200 projects, subject to browser storage capacity. Hosting and external submission services are separate.
Will the form send email or collect responses?
Connect your exported form to a public form endpoint you control. The installed form sends a standard POST; your server or provider handles validation, spam protection, storage and email. Form Workbench does not host an inbox. The setup guide includes a Formspree example; that service has its own account, terms and limits. Never put a secret API key in a form.
How do I reopen a form later?
Choose Reopen ZIP / JSON in the builder and select your original Form Workbench ZIP, the project JSON inside it, or a library JSON backup. For a recompressed ZIP, use the project JSON. Changes made directly to exported code do not import back into the visual editor.
Do I need to know how to code?
Design and test visually, then follow the guide in your ZIP. Installation needs access to your website files, React / Next.js or Vue project, or a WordPress site that permits plugins. WordPress exports include a native editor block and a shortcode.
Can it handle payments, accounts or confirmed appointments?
Event registration and appointment presets collect requests. They do not authenticate users, take payments, reserve capacity or confirm availability. Uploads, signatures, conditional logic and multi-step flows are not included.
Are the exported forms accessible and responsive?
Forms include visible labels, grouped choices, keyboard focus and linked validation errors. Side-by-side fields stack on small screens. Check the finished form on your own website, where surrounding styles, content and backend behavior can affect the experience.
