About

Aigars is a frontend web developer and the founder of Colorlib, one of the largest free web design resource sites on the internet. He started building websites in 2009, launched a technology news blog that reached 3 million monthly pageviews in 2011, and founded Colorlib in 2013 to share the WordPress themes he was developing.

What started as a learning project turned into a business. The themes Aigars built while teaching himself WordPress development — Shapely, Sparkling, Illdy, Activello, Travelify — went on to become some of the most downloaded free WordPress themes in history, with a combined 6.9 million downloads on WordPress.org alone.

Today, Aigars leads Colorlib as part of Divilab LLC, overseeing the development of 1,500+ website templates, the AdminLTE admin dashboard framework (45K+ GitHub stars), and a library of 1,400+ web design articles. He continues to write about WordPress, web design, and frontend development, drawing on over a decade of hands-on experience building products used by millions.
