Oakberry is a website template for real estate agencies, built on Bootstrap 5, with a clean layout in white, dark navy and green. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with eight pages: home, about, properties, property details, agents, blog, blog post and contact.
The home page has a full-screen hero slider, a buy and rent property search, property categories and locations, featured property cards, a video section, an about block with counters, a testimonial slider, agent profiles, recent blog posts and a photo gallery with a lightbox. The inner pages add a property search with eight listings, a property page with features, a description, a video tour and reviews, agent cards, a blog with comments and a comment form, and a contact page with a working contact form and a map.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used a Bootstrap 5 alpha), compiled from Sass together with the theme, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces tiny-slider on the hero and testimonial sliders, PhotoSwipe replaces GLightbox in the gallery, the play buttons open a keyboard-operable video dialog, and a small built-in module replaces AOS and animate.css. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: all nine pages together went from 41.1 MB and 270 requests to 8.2 MB and 167 requests, and the home page from 12.8 MB to 2.2 MB. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the fold, and each page preloads its hero photo.
No third-party requests: Nunito Sans is self-hosted, the icon fonts are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a 1.1 KB social-logo subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only after a click, the contact map loads from OpenStreetMap only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, pages loaded fonts, icons, maps and analytics from nine other hosts.
Working forms: the contact form and the blog comment form send through php/send-email.php, with visible labels, validation, a spam trap and an in-page message, and the property and blog searches send their fields to the properties and blog pages. Before, the forms had no action and most fields had no name.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, labelled search fields, names on icon-only links, descriptive alt text, visible focus rings, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with a deeper green for buttons, labels and green text, darker body text and stronger overlays behind the page headers.
Fixed and filled in: every agent, listing, testimonial and blog post has its own fictional name and details, the heroes and property pages have real estate copy, menu, footer, card and pagination links lead to pages instead of nowhere, the second gallery photo opened the first, and several typos are corrected.
