Foundation2 is a website template for freight forwarders, logistics companies and delivery firms, built on Bootstrap 5. It has four pages: home, about, services and contact. The home page has a hero with a depot search and animated counters, service cards, an about block with a video, a call-to-action band, a testimonial slider, an FAQ accordion and a network section. The about page adds a team grid and the services page has six service cards. The layout is responsive and works across current browsers.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 compiled from Sass (the earlier release used Bootstrap 5 pre-releases) and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 runs the testimonial slider, a video dialog and a small built-in module replace GLightbox, AOS and the old counter script, and npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: all five pages together went from 6.35 MB and 105 requests to 4.02 MB and 59 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the first screen, and the hero band has its own phone crop.
No third-party requests: Open Sans and Montserrat are self-hosted, the icon fonts are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset, the video loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID.
Working forms: the contact form sends through php/send-email.php with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message, and the home page depot search is a labelled form. Before, neither had a destination.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, a keyboard-reachable menu and submenu, a mobile menu that traps focus and closes with Esc, labelled controls, visible focus rings, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast.
Demo content: freight-company copy replaces the filler text, the team and customers are fictional with initials avatars, every menu, footer and card link points to a real page or section, and the photos are Unsplash warehouse photos.
