Description

Buson is a website template for business consultants and advisory firms, built on Bootstrap 5, with a clean, professional look. The layout is responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktops. It comes with nine pages: home, about, services, case studies, case details, blog, blog post, contact and elements.

The home page presents your firm with a hero, business planning and financial projections, three services, a carousel of completed cases, client testimonials, recent news and a request-a-call-back form, under a sticky menu with drop-down submenus and a back-to-top button. The case studies page lists six projects and leads to a case study page, the blog has a sidebar with search, categories, recent posts and a newsletter form, the blog post page has comments and a comment form, and the contact page has a contact form and a map that loads on click. Use Buson as it is or adapt it to your own firm’s brand.

What’s new in 3.0

  • Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.1.3 and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the original proportions and colours, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Slick and Owl Carousel on the testimonials and the completed cases, PhotoSwipe replaces Magnific Popup in the elements gallery, native selects replace Nice Select, an accessible menu panel replaces SlickNav, and Lucide SVG icons replace three icon fonts. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
  • Lighter pages: the home page went from 2.99 MB and 57 requests to 682 KB and 30 requests, and the download from 27.84 MB to 3.31 MB. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG or PNG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the first screen, each page preloads its banner image, and unused images, the full-page preloader and unused plugins such as WOW, Waypoints and gijgo are gone.
  • No third-party requests: Poppins is self-hosted, the social logos come from a small Font Awesome Brands subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the contact map is OpenStreetMap, loaded only when a visitor clicks “Show map”, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded its web fonts from Google Fonts and the contact page loaded a maps script from Google.
  • Working forms: the contact form, the request-a-call-back form on five pages, the blog newsletter form and the comment form send through their own PHP handlers, using a safe mailer with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message. Before, the call-back form posted nowhere (its phone field was named “email”) and the contact form used an unsafe mailer.
  • Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, labelled form fields, names on icon-only links, visible focus rings, submenus that open from the keyboard and with a first tap on touch screens, case captions that also show on keyboard focus, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with white button labels on a deeper coral, a darker coral for coral text, darker greys and lighter call-back fields on the navy band.
  • Fixed: the about, case details and elements pages no longer scroll sideways on tablets and phones; the testimonial arrows now show at every width (there were none below 600 px) as larger 48 px targets; links to two missing pages and buttons that went nowhere now open real pages; the favicon loads on every page (four pages pointed at a missing file); and the blog category counts read correctly. The two identical hero slides are one static hero.
  • Demo content: consulting copy replaces the lorem ipsum, the case studies are six distinct projects (they were six copies of one card, and all six are now in the home carousel, which showed two) with a matching case study page, the two testimonials are distinct and shown with initials, the news and blog posts have their own headlines and a short article with comments, the contact details are fictional, and the footer lists the consulting services instead of another template’s cleaning services.
