Burger is a website template for a burger bar or fast-food kitchen. It has a full-screen fading hero slider, a photo menu with prices, two feature banners, an about section, a video button, customer reviews, a photo gallery and a sticky header with a drop-down menu. The template ships seven pages: Home, Menu, About, Blog, Blog Post, Contact and an Elements style guide. The blog has search, categories and tags, and the contact page has a working message form and a map that loads on click.
What’s new in 3.0
Built on Bootstrap 5.3.8 and vanilla JavaScript: jQuery and every jQuery plugin are gone; Swiper powers the sliders, PhotoSwipe the gallery and Lucide the icons.
Pages are about five times lighter: the eight pages together went from 38.8 MB to 8.5 MB, with AVIF images and a JPEG fallback.
No third-party requests: fonts are self-hosted and the map loads only when a visitor asks for it, with no API key.
New photos for every section, with the same layout and composition as before.
Accessibility and contrast: skip link, one heading level 1 per page, labelled fields, visible keyboard focus and WCAG AA text contrast.
Working forms: contact, newsletter and comment forms post to PHP handlers with spam protection and clear success and error messages.
The Sass source is included, with a one-command build and a README.
