Freightbroker is a website template for freight brokers, freight forwarders and logistics companies, built on Bootstrap 5, with an orange and navy design. The layout is responsive and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with seven pages: home, about, services, service details, blog, article and contact.
The home page has a hero, a services grid, animated counters, a partner logo slider, a why-choose-us section, a projects slider, customer testimonials with a call-back form and the latest news. The inner pages add the team, the company history, eight services in tabs, nine articles and a contact page with a map and a working contact form.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.5.3 and jQuery), compiled from Sass with the original proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on the partner, project and testimonial sliders, a Bootstrap offcanvas panel replaces the SlickNav phone menu, the selects are native, and small built-in modules run the counters, forms and map. Lucide SVG icons and a 1 KB social-logo subset replace the icon fonts (the Twitter bird is now the X logo). npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: the home page went from 2.5 MB and 59 requests to 0.9 MB and 47 requests, the contact page from 1.4 MB and 70 requests to 0.5 MB and 12; the download is 5.9 MB (5.3 MB before) because the Sass sources, build tools and high-resolution banner photos now ship. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG or PNG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading, and the full-screen preloader is gone.
No third-party requests: Oswald and Quicksand are self-hosted, the contact map loads OpenStreetMap only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded Google Fonts and an analytics script, and the contact page loaded a Google map at page load.
Working forms: the call-back, contact and comment forms check their fields, send through included PHP handlers and show sending, success and error messages.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark, one h1 per page, labelled form fields, a keyboard-operable menu, submenu, search dialog, tabs and sliders, visible focus rings and WCAG AA text contrast, with a darker orange for text and button fills on light backgrounds and navy overlays behind text on photos.
Fixed: the phone menu needed a second tap on a “Menu” button inside the open panel, the service “Read More” links and news cards went nowhere (each now opens its service tab or its own article), the article’s previous and next links were labelled the wrong way round, and the logos were sharpened for high-density screens.
Demo content: freight and logistics copy for the services, articles and projects, and a fictional address, phone number, team, partner logos and customer quotes.
