Description
A convenient free multiselect with a checkmark snippet that works for just about anything and everything. You can use it for states as the default configuration shows, but you can alter it further, too.
Updated September 2026: this snippet is now plain HTML and CSS plus a few lines of vanilla JavaScript: no jQuery, no Bootstrap files, no plugins. The download is 249 KB (it was 1.2 MB). Use it on its own, or drop it into a Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 project and it looks the same. The multi-select widget works without its plugin, and every choice is written back to a real select menu, so it submits with the form.
