Manup is a website template for conferences, meetups and other events, built on Bootstrap 5. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with seven pages: home, about us, speakers, schedule, blog, a blog article and contact.
The home page has a hero with a live countdown to the event date, an about section, a team and speaker grid, a five-day schedule in tabs, three ticket pricing cards, latest news, a newsletter bar and a location block with a map. The inner pages add a story timeline with testimonials, speaker profiles, day-by-day schedule tables, a news grid, an article page with a comment form and a contact page with a working contact form. Manup gives you a ready-made site to announce your event, its speakers and its tickets.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.4.1 and jQuery), compiled from Sass together with the theme and the original Bootstrap 4 proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on the partner and testimonial sliders, a keyboard-operable dialog replaces SlickNav and Magnific Popup, and a few lines of plain JavaScript run the countdown. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: all pages together went from 13.0 MB and 439 requests to 5.1 MB and 299 requests. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the hero, and the unused plugins and source archives are gone.
No third-party requests: Work Sans and Poppins are self-hosted, the Font Awesome and Elegant Icons fonts are replaced by Lucide SVG icons and a small social-logo subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the location map and the article video load only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded its fonts from Google Fonts and the contact and home pages loaded Google Maps at once.
Working forms: the newsletter, comment and contact forms send through php/send-email.php, with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message. Before, none of the six forms had an action, and most fields had no name, so nothing could be sent.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, a real menu button, a mobile menu that keeps keyboard focus inside and closes with Esc, submenus and team cards that open from the keyboard, labelled form fields, names on icon-only links, visible focus rings, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast, with darker orange and pink button fills behind white text and darker greys.
Fixed: dozens of placeholder links now go to real pages, the Google+ links are gone, and the old mobile menu and preloader are replaced.
Demo content: fictional speaker, team and partner names, current event dates, placeholder contact details, and every photo replaced with Unsplash photography.
