Florist is a website template for flower shops, florists and plant stores, built on Bootstrap 5 with a light, photo-led design in soft pink. The layout is responsive and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with twelve pages: home, about, services, shop, product details, cart, wishlist, checkout, portfolio, blog, blog post and contact.
The home page has a hero slider, shop benefits, category tiles, an about section with a video, new arrivals with a category filter, a call to action, the latest blog posts, a testimonial slider and an Instagram strip. The shop pages share one list of fifteen products with prices, and the inner pages add services shown as tabs with quote forms, an arrangement portfolio, a team section, a blog with comments and a contact page with a form and a map.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.5.3 and jQuery), compiled from Sass together with the theme and the original Bootstrap 4 proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel, a keyboard-operable dialog replaces the off-canvas mobile menu, a small built-in filter replaces MixItUp, a video dialog replaces Magnific Popup, and the selects, tabs and thumbnail scrolling are native. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: all thirteen pages together went from 24.16 MB and 547 requests to 6.77 MB and 282 requests, and the home page from 3.71 MB to 1.25 MB. Every photo has an AVIF version with the original as the fallback and real dimensions, the hero photo is preloaded, and the portfolio and product photos are sharp on large and high-density screens.
No third-party requests: the fonts are self-hosted, Lucide SVG icons replace the icon fonts and PNG icons, social logos come from a small Font Awesome subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the contact map and the demo video load only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID.
Accessibility: a skip link, one main heading per page, labelled form fields, keyboard-operable menu, search, tabs and checkout options, names for icon-only links, and text and button colours that meet WCAG AA contrast.
Working forms: the newsletter, contact, quote and comment forms send through an included PHP mail handler with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message; the basket coupon and checkout are clearly marked demo forms ready to connect to your shop.
Consistent demo content: product names, photos and prices match across the shop, product, basket, wishlist and checkout pages, every link leads to a real page, and the phone layouts no longer scroll sideways on the checkout and product pages.
