If you would like to add more content to your website’s footer area, this free 4-column footer template will come in very handy. Instead of building it from the ground up, put into practice this flexible and all-around free snippet.

Updated September 2026: this snippet is now plain HTML and CSS plus a few lines of vanilla JavaScript: no jQuery, no Bootstrap files, no plugins. The download is 1.3 MB (it was 1.8 MB). Use it on its own, or drop it into a Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 project and it looks the same. The tooltips work without Bootstrap’s JavaScript.
