Apart is a website template for apartment rentals, holiday lets and small property managers, built on Bootstrap 5, with a light, airy design and a warm bronze accent. The layout is responsive and mobile-ready and works in all popular web browsers. It comes with seven pages: home, about, apartments, apartment details, news, an article page and contact.
The home page has a full-screen hero with a parallax effect, a property information card, apartments by city with nightly prices, a featured apartments grid, a resident testimonial carousel and news cards. The inner pages add the team with social links, a single suite with its details, news with pagination, an article with comments and a sidebar, and a contact page with a working contact form, and a video tour opens from the footer.
What’s new in 3.0
Bootstrap 5.3.8 (the earlier release used Bootstrap 4.1.3 and jQuery), compiled from Sass together with the theme and the original Bootstrap 4 proportions, and plain JavaScript with no jQuery. Swiper 14 replaces Owl Carousel on the testimonials, Jarallax replaces Stellar on the heroes, a keyboard-operable dialog replaces the off-canvas mobile menu and a small built-in module replaces AOS. Lucide SVG icons replace the icon fonts. npm run build (Dart Sass and esbuild) compiles one minified stylesheet and one script.
Lighter pages: all seven pages together went from 23.3 MB and 288 requests to 7.6 MB and 189 requests, and the home page from 3.8 MB to 1.4 MB. Every photo has an AVIF version with the JPEG as the fallback, real dimensions and lazy loading below the hero, each page preloads its hero photo, and unused plugins such as jQuery UI, MediaElement, a countdown and a date picker are gone.
No third-party requests: Nunito Sans and Oswald are self-hosted, the social links use a small logo subset (the Twitter bird is now the X logo), the video tour is a stock clip that loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only after a click, and a Google Analytics 4 snippet stays commented out until you add your own ID. Before, every page loaded its fonts from Google Fonts.
Working forms: the contact, comment and newsletter forms send through php/send-email.php and php/subscribe.php, with validation, a spam trap and an in-page message, and the article sidebar search is a plain search form. Before, none of them had an action or named fields, so nothing could be sent.
Accessibility: a skip link and a main landmark on every page, one h1 per page, a real menu button, a mobile menu that keeps keyboard focus inside and closes with Esc, a sub-menu and team cards that open from the keyboard, names on icon-only links, descriptive alt text, visible focus rings, reduced-motion support and WCAG AA text contrast: buttons, card labels and links use a deeper bronze of the original sand colour, and a darker shade sits behind the hero titles and menu.
Fixed: the property information card squeezed its photo into a thin strip and its text to one word per line on phones and tablets (it now stacks), the article’s comment count, commenter names and sidebar headings were white on a white page, footer links turned white on hover, the menu, cards, buttons and footer links pointed nowhere, and a script error appeared on every page.
Demo content: fictional resident, team and commenter names, a fictional address and contact details, current dates, and new Unsplash photos for the home hero, the page banners, two apartment cards and two resident portraits.
