  • Hello, first off, thanks for the great theme and the willingness to set up a child-theme as well as encouraging the concept.

    I’m trying to add some form validation using the jquery validate plugin. I’ve added this to the child functions.php file like so:

     * Add the jQuery validation plugin.
     * These script are used to validate forms; Make sure you update the form id in the settings file.
    wp_enqueue_script( 'jQueryValidate', get_template_directory_uri() . '/inc/js/jQueryValidate/jquery.validate.min.js', array('jquery'), '1.11.1', true );
    wp_enqueue_script( 'jQueryValidateMethods', get_template_directory_uri(). '/inc/js/jQueryValidate/additional-methods.min.js', array( 'jquery' ), '1.12.0', true );
    wp_enqueue_script( 'jQueryValidateSettings', get_template_directory_uri(). '/inc/js/jQueryValidate/jquery.validate-settings.js', array( 'jquery' ), '1.12.0', true );

    However, because of the get_template_directory_uri() the theme is looking for the scripts in the parent. Any suggestions on how I might change this?

    Thanks in advance.
