    My site at http://mikeposnerhits.com still has mobile drop down menu with too much extra space. One screenshot is of how the drop down menu looks on the main site page and the other is on the page http://mikeposnerhits.com/gallery which doesn’t have the Sparkling theme but this is how my drop down menu looked on my WordPress website. How do I get it back? I need new CSS coding to add in my additional CSS to correct it. I want less spacing and make it identical to my site’s photo gallery drop down top menu.

    I’ve already cleared my cache plugin on my website and my laptop several times. The new 2.3.5 updated theme made the extra large spacing within the drop down menu. It wasn’t nlije that before and I didn’t make this happen.

    I installed the WP Rollback plugin and I wasn’t seeing anything about Rolling back to the previous theme. Rollback isn’t there on the theme page. JUST GREAT! I regret upgrading. The only issue I’m noticing is on mobile, the drop down menu is a hot mess. Too much space in between each page on the drop down menu. And I can’t figure out how to change the hover color to where it USED to be and I know CSS but this theme is complicated trying to figure out what coding I need to achieve the color hover change on the mobile drop down menu. I’m using Chrome, and I right click and click on Inspect and I’ve tried using the coding I see within my custom CSS and nothing is working. I swear I always great upgrading. I’ve been using this theme for years.

    I just noticed that the code I tried to hide the nav-links, actually also hid my page navigation. I don’t have infinite scroll. So, now I’m trying the following code, which I hope isn’t interfering with any other functions of the theme. I think it seems like it’s working on only the navigation on the post pages only. I hope.

    .nav-next, .nav-previous {
    display: none;
    }

    Thank you for replying with a resolution.

    So, I either leave it as is or fall back to an older update like Sparkling 2.2.2?

    There is no newer version than what I already have. I AM on the 2.3.2 the latest theme.

    So, I’ve decided to just stay on the latest them Sparkling 2.3.2 and just hide the nav-links using the following code.

    .nav-links {
    display: none;
    }

    I’ll wait for the next update and hope they’ve change the previous/next nav links back to how they USE to work. The way that they work now in the latest update version just makes no sense to me.

    To learn how to set up the Social Icons to display your social links like your Twitter and Facebook accounts, then follow the instructions here: https://colorlib.com/wp/forums/topic/social-icons-in-sparkling-2-0/#post-33272

    “In this version we switched to a better solution for social menus. Now you can use a regular WordPress menu via Appearance >> Menus. There create a menu with social links to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and son on inside it. Menu will recognize what URL you are using and will use the right icon for it.

    Afterwards you can enable/disable icon in footer by using your mentioned function in customizer or by using the good old Sparkling social widget.”

    “Set menu location as “Social Links”. A single checkbox when creating menu.”

    “When you open WordPress menu editor via Appearance >> Menus you should go to Screen Options in the upper right corner. There you should select option called “Link Target”.
    Afterwards you will have a new options for menu items named “Open link in a new window/tab”. Select that for each menu item and you are good to go.”

    I’m still trying to figure this out. Can anyone please help me out? I’d really appreciate some help with this.

    I’m using the Sparkling theme on my website, and I want to add the Sparkling theme’s menu & toggle menu for smaller screens to my gallery theme which is powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery. I need to know all of the codes to make it happen. I need to know what CSS coding to apply to style.css and what codes to apply to template.html of the Coppermine theme.

    I just tried to make a third level within my top menu on my site (using the Sparkling theme) and it worked on desktop just fine, but not on mobile/small screens. Is that expected or should it be working on mobile/small screens too?

    I followed this tutorial:

    I’m pretty sure that you’ll have to install a plugin for a Maintenance Mode. I used to use a plugin years ago, but I currently don’t have use for one anymore. Visit WordPress.org and search for a Maintenance plugin of your choice like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/ and install and activate it from your WordPress admin. Good luck!

    Sounds great! Looking forward to seeing the additional social icon buttons on the next update. 🙂

    You can totally skip the capitalized titles part. It’s no big deal, really. It sounds like it will take up way too much of your time if you have rewrite the entire coding.

    Thank you again!

    After the new recent update to the Sparkling theme, I no longer see the “red color” whenever I click on a link in the top navigation. Just wanted to let you know. 🙂

    Thank you for the info on how to remove the images from my pages. It worked! I did update the theme beforehand, and replaced back all of my coding changes that I have saved in a file on my PC. 🙂

    Sounds great! Thank you so much, and thanks for replying. 🙂

    I’ve kept the slider coding as is, letting the slider show up on all pages and posts even though a random post image is showing up on ALL of my pages in the featured image area. I did try to upload and set a featured image to one of my pages to try and see if I could override the image that’s showing up, but it didn’t work. I’ll be looking out for the new update that will hopfully fix this issue.

    Thank you again!

    I’m not sure if you read my previous post from yesterday yet, but I came across a new issue after making changes to the slider coding that I now need help with.

    After changing the slider coding to make the slider show up on all posts & pages, a featured image that I didn’t set on Pages is showing up now. It’s a featured image I have set for a particular post, that I do have featured in the slider, which NOW shows up on ALL of my website PAGES! Why is this happening, and how do I stop/remove featured images from Pages? I have NO featured images set on any of my website’s Pages, but somehow all of my website’s Pages are picking up a featured image from a post. Visit my website http://mikeposnerhits.com and visit some of my Pages that are listed in the navigation (excluding Gallery), and you’ll see that every single Page has the same featured image at the top of every Page. I NEVER set a featured image for any of the Pages.

    1. I tried several times clearing the cache in IE, FIREFOX, and CHROME browsers, as well the plugin WP Super Cache I have installed. I’m still seeing the “red color” every time I click on a link in my site’s menu/navigation at the top of my website only in IE and FIREFOX browsers, not in CHROME. I’m not seeing the “red color” at all in the navigation from the CHROME browser. I’ve attached a photo to show the “red color” coming through the navigation link titled “MIKE” once it’s clicked on in IE (same thing happens in FIREFOX) to give you an example of what I’m seeing.

    2. OK. I guess this means I have 2 options. I could either keep my current featured images at their current size and just move on and start uploading 750px wide featured images in all future posts so that they’ll fit at the top of the posts properly. Or, redo a few of the last several posts’ (10 or so) featured image sizes so that the home page looks normal on PC/laptop big screens. They currently look normal on mobile devices, I’ve noticed, so that’s a good thing. Ha ha.
