    Hi Movin,

    It’s me -again. I followed your advices and uploaded the Unite child theme with the zip file you provided me but it does not seem to work… Here are two screenshots of what happens > on the first one the theme itself seems completely blank and on the second when I try to preview it it loads endlessly… Any clue of what’s happening ?

    Best regards and Happy New year to you 🙂

    Hi Movin,

    I’ve tried the tutorial but now i cannot even display the website :/

    I guess i’ve done something (terribly) wrong…

    The first step was to “Similar to the link above we need to copy that function from /inc/extras.phpinto the functions.php file in our child theme” > so i went to the functions.php file and copied and pasted the code that was written below, followed by this “if ( ! function_exists( ‘sparkling_header_menu’ ) ) : ##function Goes here## endif;”Then I wanted to update the file and it was not working anymore :/
    Is it temporary or have I ruined everything ?
    It sounded logical to me copy and paste the codes there since nothing more was specified :/

    Best regards !

    Hi Movin,

    Thanks for your reply and sorry for my replying so late :/
    Is there any way I could share the URL with you in a private way ? The website’s “owner” wants it to remain private, therefore i’d rather not display the URL (and the password associated to it 😉 in a public forum…

    Thanks you 🙂

    Hi,

    I’ve just tried it and again it didn’t work.
    I’ve also tried to change the first come, right after “.dropdown-menu,” by a “.”, a “;” or nothing at
    all but it didn’t work either…
    I’m joining a file where i copied the entire css (style.css)… Don’t know if it’s useful !

    Thanks again 🙂

    Hi Movin,
    Thanks a lot for helping me out !
    The first bit of code you gave me was pretty much the same as the one i’ve found in the old thread, except the “¡important” part, which didn’t change anything.

    Thanks a lot for the “body.home article .entry-content {
    background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
    }” trick that i’ve somewhat adapted to my own needs !

    I’m joining a screenshot so you can have a look at my home page with its desesperately opaque menu bar 😉 (out of discretion for “clients” i’d rather not communicate the URL)

    Regards,
    Marie

    Hello,
    I had the same question as member rsnbrgjrdn, which concerned the menu and how to have a transparent background. I closely read the answers and tried updating the css code with the lines written above but nothing changed on my website :/ (see att. file).
    I’ve also uploaded my entire css file in a separate file so not to flood the text here…

    I hope someone can help me out there 🙂

    Marie
