I am still unable to edit website appearance. When I load the customize page the page loads but the website does not appear, only a white screen. To make any changes I have had to disable all security on the website and put it in maintenance.April 15, 2019 at 5:56 am #216811
Hope you are having a good day and thank you for your question
Please deactivate all third party plugins and try again your problem, most probably this I conflict with third-party plugins.
Once you deactivate all plugins please check your problem again, if the problem is gone then this means it was a plugin conflict. Now, start activating plugins one by one and same time repeat your problem until your problem appears again, now you know which plugin was in conflict

You have a pending update for the theme if you have any changes in files save them and update the themeApril 17, 2019 at 6:16 pm #217413
Ok update complete, still not able to customizeApril 18, 2019 at 5:53 am #217506
Get in touch with your hosting and let them know you have this problem when you open customizer:
Error parsing header X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block, 1; mode=block: expected semicolon at character position 13. The default protections will be applied.
then can check this in the developer tools, this feature is enabled from the server and they have to disable thisApril 20, 2019 at 3:47 pm #217883
I contacted the host and they said I need the url that the customization is using to communicate with the page. Looks like the page is being blocked by the firewallApril 22, 2019 at 5:29 am #217981
“I need the url that the customization is using to communicate with the page” – not clearly understand this part,
Can you disable the firewall? just temporary for testing purposesApril 22, 2019 at 3:27 pm #218093
I don’t really want to disable the firewall if I don’t have to, don’t think that will help anything either. The hosting co. said I need to whitelist the url for the page that is communicating with the customization page to my website, assuming that is an Illdy theme url/address. They were not able to find or see the url on their side.
ThanksApril 22, 2019 at 5:14 pm #218101
I not saying to disable it permanently, just for testing temporary 🙂
I believe this is not proper configuration of the firewall, it should not trigger such problemsApril 23, 2019 at 12:02 am #218111
Ok when would you like to try this
