Envira Gallery is a responsive WordPress gallery plugin that creates incredibly simple and easy workflows around building and managing galleries in WordPress. Now you can save up to 10% when purchasing any EnviraGallery licence.
Is it unfashionable to put spaces in your company name these days? Anyway, EnviraGallery would be absolutely fantastic for busy photographers who want to spend more time taking great photographs and less time fiddling with WordPress. The galleries it creates are very customizable, right down to the size of the thumbnails, in pixels. You can customize the light box settings and when you create a new post or edit a page of any kind, you can find the EnviraGallery box down at the bottom of the page. Just drop the images into the box, configure the settings and you’re away.
The plugin is well built so it is very fast and lightweight. It is retina-ready, meaning it will look great on the new Apple products like the iPad Air. What’s more, it’s also responsive. This means that it allows image scaling after detecting the screen size of the device you’re using. No more messy displays on tablets and phones.
Their website has a demo section where you can see a range of different galleries created by the tool along with an explanation of the settings used to create it. This might be the first time I’ve seen a site properly explain what a tool even does, instead of just calling it responsive and slapping a $600 price tag on it. Not even close; EnviraGallery is priced at $19, without any special feature and ranges up to $249 for every gallery related thing you will ever need to buy… presumably.
They kindly offer a variety of free plugins, which will work on galleries purchased for $19, for a few extra features such as integration with Pinterest, a plugin which lets you post your galleries in full by just using the URL and one which all photographers will appreciate; disabling downloads. All you need to do to install that one is activate it after downloading it and it will work straight away. It all sounds nice and straightforward. Their testimonials verify that they have many happy customers who sing their praises about the usability and great plugins. Envira also provide help and support to their license holders, which will put prospective customer’s minds at ease.
Reading through their blog, you can see that Envira are only a few months old, created in January. They have come a long way so far and continue to release add on(s) and plugins reasonably regularly.
